Loving the new tower!

Reviewed By janeta190

My original reservation was for the Creek Tower. I had some allergy issues in the room and asked to be moved to a different tower. They were so nice! They gave me a room in the new tower! The bell service helped me reload our car and everyone was helpful. The room and tower is beautiful! Having a wonderful time! Messaging with Ivy is also very helpful while you are here. I recommend this place to everyone! Perfect vacation! Thank you all soooo much!

Little misteps colored the experience

Reviewed By dalm0m

We stayed here for a bridal shower because we wanted to use the pool. It was a treat. The place is spacious & lovely with lush grounds. It's easy to get turned around inside the hotel. There are plenty of conversation pits / areas in the public spaces. Everything is a cool elegant Carolina blue {of course). There is not much nearby (easy walking distance) but enough including a Harris Teeter grocery store, an ABC store & some small restaurants. The place was empty when we arrived. The bartender at the hotel bar confirmed this and we hardly saw or heard other guests so I can’t quite figure out why they could not accommodate my request for adjoining rooms. Service was slow at best. We got some wine at the bar. We were initially the only customers & the bartender was a delight. When our friends arrived, we took our drinks & went to reception to greet them. I set my empty glass down but it was still in the same spot 36 hours later. Similarly I left my pool towel on a chair Saturday morning because I did not see the bin for used towels. It was still there – although now soaking wet from the rain – Sunday morning. I stuffed it in the overflowing bin which was never emptied during our stay. I was also annoyed that I was repeatedly told there was a shuttle from the airport for a $20 fee. I had planned to use it but the day before I arrived I was informed that it was discontinued. The front desk staff viewed guests more as nuisances than customers. None of them smiled. It was subtle but off-putting. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. I wish they had more juice choices then just orange, especially since the complimentary ice cream / hospitality ‘fridge was filled with grapefruit juice. We wanted to eat outside but when we tried to get back into the restaurant from the deck, the door was locked. Another guest let us in while the waitstaff stood around talking to each other. It is a business hotel & we were there over Memorial Day weekend; maybe that had something to do with it.

Worst customer service!stay.

Worst customer service! At first they were not willing to modify my reservation. It was simple and they seem they don’t know how to do it. I persisted and showed them how to and was corrected. My room was not cleaned for 5days of my stay. I requested twice on the 3rd and 4th day of my stay. They say they will send some one but didn’t happen. Not coming back definitely.

No one cared

Reviewed By Misty C

Waited over an hour for airport shuttle and had to call 3 times before getting a ride. We were told the shuttle driver left for the airport and was not answering his phone and they couldn’t find him or get a hold of him. The staff almost laughed it off as if he did this all the time. When we asked for a shuttle ride to a restaurant on the list given to us they told us there was no one to take us and we should just order pizza. The room was clean but the handle fell off when trying to turn on the shower, the toilet clogged and I had to go to 4 different floors before finding a working ice machine. There were no out of order signs. At breakfast the wait for omelets was at least half an hour because they only had one person cooking. The staff was not friendly and did not seem to care with the exception of a lady who went by T. She went out of her way to be helpful and kind. We have stayed at many Hilton properties and several embassy suites and this was by far the worst.

Quiet location and great staff!

Reviewed By James B

This is an older location but still nice. Our room appeared to have been renovated in the last 3 years or so. Large room, clean and VERY comfy bed. It rained our first night so we decided to eat in the Overlook on-site restaurant. I wasn't expecting much seeing as how bad hotel restraunt service is today but I was totally surprised! Good local beer selection (I was able to get a flight) and the entrees were really good. The menu was limited but still a good variety. The staff was very nice and there is a great lobby bar. Very convenient to local sights and they have a shuttle to downtown ($8 per person) but we didnt take advantage of that. We had the breakfast buffet on our last day and it was good too. Lots of tennis courts and I didnt know about the other outdoor pool and the indoor lap pool until my last day unfortunately.

We have only been here about 45 mins and have already had multiple complaints. When we arrived to the hotel the automatic sores would not open all the way, making it hard to push in the luggage cart. We got in the elevator and it smelled like pot, it was making grinding noises and didn’t seem safe. The furniture in the room was all scratched and dented and looked very trashy. When we went to take a shower the curtain had black mold all over the bottom of the curtain and had to ask for a clean curtain. The indoor pool was closed, but it was not on the websites when making reservations when we specifically asked for a hotel with a pool for our kids. The hotel staff I was dealing with was not very pleasant and did not like that I pointed out our dissatisfaction. Luckily we are only here for 1 night on our way to our next destination. I definitely do not recommend this hotel!!
