Enomania

You walk down Vesterbrogade towards Frederiksberg garden & the Zoo. You pass a couple of windows which are filled with lids/sides from wine boxes. You look up, a simple sign tells you that this is the wine bar / Ristorante Enomania. You then look through the window into a near naked room with a counter, couple of tables and chairs and think; is this what I was recommended? It does not look like a world class Italian restaurant, but do not get fooled by the looks of it.We went in and was warmly greated by the international staff and through a maze guided to our table in the back of restaurant in a cozy room, dominated by a giant wine rack. And let me just say, the food is good, very good. You have one menu to choose from, and I recommend to go for the full 4 course Italian style menu, which is reasonably priced. Then there is the wine. You probably cannot find a better selection of quality Italian wine anywhere in Copenhagen and not just the wine, the waiters knowledge of wine is outstanding.Be aware; you are more than lucky if you just walk in and get a table, you need to book well in advance and that is fully understandable

Food and service were excellent. Every dish was really interesting and extremely savory- wiping down the sauces with the also excellent homemade bread. Wines were also delicious- ordered by the glass, tended to follow recommended pairings even though we ordered a la carte. A very special meal. Was weird that it wasnt crowded (8:30 Sat night) but it was all great.

Sankt Annae 8

We ate twice at Sankt Annae 8 on beautiful summer days. That qualification is important. Sitting outside in the beautiful square makes a really good experience so much better. The fare is classic Danish lunch food. Herring plus "sandwiches" that are eaten with knife and fork. Over the course of two outings, we tried all of the herring options plus sandwiches with smoked eel, veal tongue, beef and shrimp. Just terrific and especially nice if you add a beer and a shot of Acquavit. This place will not disappoint.

L'Enoteca di Mr. Brunello Restaurant & Wine Shop

Reviewed By efarkasTeaneck_NJ

This stylish restaurant reminds one of nouvelle cuisine with its small portions and high prices. The owner-operator, an elegant Danish woman who speaks fluent Italian is omnipresent taking all orders and allowing her young staff only to bring and remove plates. She is no doubt very capable, knowledgeable about wines which are expensive. By the glass choices are lacking though one may have two glasses of the house Brunello for 250 Danish krones or about $35 American dollars. There are only two entre choices each night: a meat or fish. Both were small in size and not particularly special. Similarly dessert was fine but nothing to remember. An expensive dinner and not really worth it!

A friend owning a restauarant in Oslo gave us a tip about this place - and we were so happy for it. Although located at Amager it is definitely worth the tour. Great neighbourhood-feel, great service and awesome food. We got seated in the bar - that we always find nice being a part Of it all.We will be back and so should you.
