Absolutely amazing food. The ceviche was probably the best I had outside Central America. The service was quick, efficient and very friendly. It is a bit dark so you don’t really see what you are eating, but we the tastes were outstanding.Highly recommendable!

Bistro' del Mar

a new concept of food taste in Kendwa.....enjoy with us..... don't miss it

We went to this restaurant 3 times and each time we had really nice food and service. The fish is fresh, tasty and well cooked and all the ingredients are locals, showing that is an ethic business. We really appreciate that they don’t use too many plastic bottles encouraging the clients to get the jar of water to reduce plastic pollution. Everything is home made, even the pasta, which is amazing. We stayed at the hotel next to it so for us was perfect but the nice thing is that we could see many many people from other hotels in the area coming to have dinner at the Bistrò! The owners Salvatore and Roberta take care of every little thing and they make sure that every details is perfect. The location is elegant and modern with a touch of Zanzibar style. The service is friendly and fast (something difficult to find in Zanzibar)! Prices are really good especially for quality of the food and location. We had such a great time and great food! See pictures for more details! Your words are so sweet like you, dear francy.....We try to do our best every day to give a good service to the guests and we are so happy to host guests from all the hotels of Kendwa and also from other cities. Quality of the food, cleaning and service are our focus point , we are so proud you noticed and mentioned, as also the use of jag of glass instead the plastic bottle of water.....when guests are satisfied we are more than happy!!!!!!! This is a buffet restaurant located within Amaan Beach Bungalows in Nungwi. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the Nungwi beach and has a wide open seating capacity. It stays open from 6-10pm every night and you could enjoy some live performances by Ado Ado band either on Thursday or Saturday night. The pricing is fixed at $20 USD per adult and $8 USD per child between 6 to 12yrs of age. No cost for children below 6yrs.Food options are pretty good and you could expect mainly Indian, Italian, Chinese, Lebanese and needless to say local cuisine and experience a delicious 4 course meal spread across cuisines of your choice. The 2 key highlights for me were the Zanzibar pizza and the fresh Sugarcane juice. The food spread was really good and evenly balanced. Taste of majority dishes was good and this was a truly value for money experience.
