With my wife for dinner on a Saturday evening. Serving quick and friendly and we decided to go for a chicken sandwich and burger with red wine of the house and non-alcoholic beer to drink. The burger was not very exciting. Meat was rubbery and dry covered with two slices of cheese. Very little (no) dressing and two chuncks of pickles on the plate. Not to forget the dry sallad and a bucket of fries. The chicken sandwich was better...A few minutes after we started eating there was a big «bang»... and again «bang, bang, bang, bang...» What is this??? The waitress ran over the floor into another room and when she came back I asked what happened? «The band is warming up» she said.... «The band??? It sounds to me someone has got a set of drums for Christmas» I said, when she left our table. It got worse... they started to sing too... I normally like live music, but this reminded me more of the days back in the seventies when a friend of mine tried to start up a band - and rehearsed at home in the basement. The best was when his mother served warm waffles...Well... we asked for the bill, smiled and left for the dessert and coffee another place.

En imponerande meny lista med mycket lokalt och spännande förslag. Maten lever inte riktigt upp det förväntade.Rymliga lokaler med fin utsikt.Personal som försöker leva upp Sjösidans höga ambitioner.

På väg hem, hungriga. Besökte denna restaurang för första gången. Lunchbuffé. Vi åt deras "legendariska pannbiffar", med potatis, lingon, en mycket god brunsås och salladsbuffé. Detta till det facila priset av 80 kronor, inklusive måltidsdryck och kaffe. Forsbacka är dessutom mycket vackert belägen meden jättefin golfbana med många små sjöar.

Tössestugan is located just south of à mål on the E45. If you are going to or from your ski holiday in Branäs or Sälen this may be a good place to stop for some coffee.The lunch portions are large, and if you ask nicely you may have a refill.The interior design is wood, and yes some more wood.

We made a break in Amal, on a trip through Sweden. Café XO is a nice, cosy place on a great location in the center of Amal. They have good coffee and pastries. It also seems a good place for lunch or dinner, but we didn't try that...
