We made a break in Amal, on a trip through Sweden. Café XO is a nice, cosy place on a great location in the center of Amal. They have good coffee and pastries. It also seems a good place for lunch or dinner, but we didn't try that...

Tössestugan is located just south of Åmål on the E45. If you are going to or from your ski holiday in Branäs or Sälen this may be a good place to stop for some coffee.
The lunch portions are large, and if you ask nicely you may have a refill.
The interior design is wood, and yes some more wood.

Nice cafe inn Åmål with great food and a warm atmosphere. Had an Asian style chicken soup which was one of the best soups I've ever tasted. Also excellent home made bread and cakes, and a good choice of sallads and sandwiches. Highly recommended!

We visited this place with a few friends. Our visit started out shaky. The menu only said "large beer, small beer, light beer and foreign beer" and "red wine, white wine". The waitress didn't know what beers they had, what ingredients the food contained (we had a person allergic to nuts and one to gluten in our group). So needless to say, we were a bit worried.
BUT, our waitress was replaced by a guy who I believe was the owner. He was very knowledgable, told us everything we needed to know about the food, even changed some of the ingredients and let me tell you the food was excellent.
I'd highly recommend this place, but if you want a specific beer, tag along to the bar. Their selection is better than they let on in the menu.

The place is located by the river in the senter of Säffle. You may sit by the shore of the river and eat the best hamburger in town.

På väg hem, hungriga.
Besökte denna restaurang för första gången. Lunchbuffé. Vi åt deras "legendariska pannbiffar", med potatis, lingon, en mycket god brunsås och salladsbuffé. Detta till det facila priset av 80 kronor, inklusive måltidsdryck och kaffe.
Forsbacka är dessutom mycket vackert belägen meden jättefin golfbana med många små sjöar.

Tog Vänergös med färska potatis och räkor.Fick 5st skinnpotatisar som var helt hårda inuti.När personalen kom och frågade om vi var nöjda svarade jag ärligt nej,då gick de därifrån.När vi sedan skulle betala frågade de igen om vi var nöjda och jag sa återigen nej,då jag inte tycker man skall behöva betala 265:- för okokta pyttesmå potatisar.
