This ramen shop is centrally located right at the junction & with its loud colorful red colors advertising, no one will miss it. Especially the price.It's a simple counters-seating ramen cafe. No frills. Just eat & go.This has got to be the cheapest ramen in Japan at ¥290 per bowl!But wait! Remember the simple philosophy - you get what you pay for!Don't expect much - at ¥290, you get a small bowl of ramen with small portion of noodles & just a thin small slice of pork ( can't remember exactly 1 or 2 slices). Taste is so so, not great. But can't complain at this price. Side dishes orders available like Gyoza. Free self-service plain water thrown in.

We heard much about this so wanted to give it a try, didn't manage to get in the first night when we went at 8pm because there was already a long line. We came at 6pm the next day and there were ample seats available. The meal is quite simple with lots of leeks and cabagge, tofu and various offal parts particularly small intestines boiled in a pot in front of you. Basically we were told to cook till all the leeks and vegetables have sunken into the pot and thats when everything were ready to eat, but we find the offals pretty tough as it won't be possible to soften it by cooking in such a short time. Noodles were served when the content of the pot is emptied but left the soup to make an excellent bowl of Udon as the broth is quite tasty.. An experience but compare to the Chinese hot pot or Steamboat as we call them here which has an assortment of ingradient this is not something spectacular.

First forget your impression of a bowl of Ramen from your local provider as this is the real & original deal. The eatery has been round for 60 years and the only choice is Pork Ramen, additional Ramen and additional Pork, that's ALL. At Yen 500 and located close to a seafood market and you can tell it is mostly for the general local people. No frills but Ramen at THE VERY BEST. Be very careful as there are so many imitators with names as Nagahamaya. Completely change my mind of how a bowl of Ramen should be. It seems that I married a wrong woman for the last 40 years ! EXCELLENT !!
