Visited here on a work trip.Table for 12 with multi national people. Common language was English and the waiter served us excellently in English. Food arrived promptly and correct for such a large table. Was very well cooked and good mat aswell.Only let down was when one asked for another drink he didn't take the chance to ask if anyone else wanted one so ended up just doing shuttle runs as people caught his attention. They even took the time to split the bill so we could get receipts.

Man parkt vor der Tür und wird in einem offenem hellen Raum empfangen. Hier steht die Destille. Ja es wird hier gebrannt, und zwar Whisky vom Feinsten. Weiter geht es in ein grosses sehr schönes und helles Restaurant. Eine offene Küche macht das ganze noch schöner. Das Essen, wir hatten Steaks, Burger und Trüffelpommes.Die Weinempfehlung hat dazu gepasst. Service und Küche bringen Leistung auf sehr hohem Niveau, dem sich der hervorragende Espresso anschlieÃt.

This place is full of warm hospitality and a terrific local menu. Generous portion sized meals ensure that you don't leave hungry. We enjoyed the seasonal menu of white asparagus served with holllandaise and a side if viener schnitzels. The staff were friendly and happy to explain the menu to us. The restaurant was very busy and we made a booking, which is probably essential, they were turning folk away even though it was a Monday night

Wir waren hier zu viert beim Essen.Die BegrüÃung war sehr freundlich, und der reservierte Tisch auch wirklich schön gelegen.Die besten Voraussetzungen für einen tollen Abend.Der Vorspeisensalat war sehr groà und auch wirklich sehr lecker.Wir hatten als Hauptspeisen das Rib-Eye-Steak, ein T-Bone-Steak, und zweimal das Hüftsteak.Leider ist es offensichtlich nicht mehr üblich Telefon zu hören, was dazu führt dass die Speisen sehr schnell kalt werden.Darüber hinaus sollte es eigentlich möglich sein wenn man in einem Steakhouse ein Steak medium bestellt dass dies auch so ist.Bis auf das T-Bone-Steak, das korrekt gegart an den Tisch gebracht wurde, waren alle anderen Steaks eher medium rare.Ein Steak war sogar so so, das ist im Kern noch kalt war.Das ist definitiv nicht Medium. Nachdem dieses Steak reklamiert wurde kam, das gleiche Stück Fleisch, nach einer gewissen Zeit erneut auf den Tisch.Mittlerweile war es auÃen sehr dunkel, aber immerhin im Kern zwar noch blutig aber warm.Leider war es auch um den Service nicht zum besten bestellt.Nachdem wir nach dem Essen und dem abräumen der Teller über eine halbe Stunde vor unserem leeren Gläsern saÃen ohne dass sich jemand erkundigt hätte ob wir vielleicht eine Nachspeise oder noch etwas zu trinken möchten haben wir bezahlt.Wir waren schon öfter hier beim Essen und es war eigentlich immer gut.Diesmal ist aber alles schief gegangen.Eventuell werden wir, mit einigem Abstand, noch mal kommen um zu überprüfen ob dies ein einmaliger Ausrutscher war oder ob die Qualität dauerhaft nachgelassen hat.Das Lokal ist auch bereit sind nicht mehr so gut besucht wie früher....

Being on a business trip, looking for a alternative dinner location I found this place. The cusine mix is interesting, Burgers, Steaks, a bit Pasta on top.The steak was ok, the service fast and helpful. A nice restaurant to eat, when the other and better options in the vicinity are closed.

We needed a reservation for 5 people for Sunday mittag and had a private room from 11:30AM to 1:15PM. This restaurant fills up, so you will need a reservation for popular times. Holidays require advance planning.I would call the décor updated rustic. They pride themselves on quality meat and offer dry aged beef. We did some soup appetizers, a full round of before-dinner drinks, beer, wine, coffee, and all five chose the duck special for the entrée. . It was deboned and served with blue cabbage and dumplings in a sauce. Extra sauce was provided for the table. The food was well presented and the duck was crispy and tender. Consensus - excellent meal. The waiter was very pleasant and professional and used some English with the only non-German. He alerted us about 20 minutes before the 1:15PM deadline. I found the prices reasonable - this is a cut above the typical gasthaus. Just like the states - dry-aged steak is expensive. There are more moderate priced meals. Our duck was 24 euros. Highly recommend Kuhners if you are looking for a higher quality experience.

Ate outside - food was good, service very attentive and reasonably priced. Husband and I both had local beers, schnitzel and salads. Very filling and great food.
