Had the opportunity to visit the Hacienda Restaurant at Jesteburg with relatives and was surprised at the quality surroundings and the quality of meals provided and after 3 pm every day the meals are half price. WOW! and for a Aussie that's real cheap (cheaper than an Ossie at a Barbie!)

... the Grillhus is even in the evening in the winter dark from the outside already inviting ... typically nordic ... from the inside it is even more comfortable .. lots of wood and a comfortable furniture invite you to linger ... the staff is very friendly and courteous ... this evening were many regulars there ... the owner is young and dynamic and completes the whole thing ... when preparing the food you can look into the kitchen ... that creates transparency ... even if the prices are a bit over normal you get very good quality ... we had a steak and a burger ... both were delicious ... the Brooklyn lager beer tasted delicious ... and after the meal on recommendation the host still a hazelnut schnapps ... that was heavenly ... thank you for a very nice evening ...

Firstly this place is a great find if you want to get out of Hamburg and more into the village scene (about 30mins south of Hamburg). This is (I think) mainly a location for locals and while very welcoming, but a bit "off the beaten track" and there was no English menu so polish up on your German (or take a friend that speaks German like I did). The wait staff also speak English and are happy to help you make choices.The food was very nice and the wine was lovely. I think one of the main points for this restaurant was the setting, a lovely garden setting that you can dine in. I was lucky enough to visit on a beautiful evening around 8pm with the temperature in the mid 20's (the place seemed idillic).

Es ist mittags extrem gut besucht und trotzdem schafft man es in 35 Minuten super satt wieder das Lokal zu verlassen.Die Tische sind sehr nett vorbereitet und nach kurzer Zeit wird gefragt welches Getränk man möchte und wenn das Getränk gebracht wird, kann man bestellen. Entweder den Mittagstisch für ⬠6,50 oder von der Speisekarte, die eine groÃe Auswahl bietet.Wir bestellten letztes Mal vom Mittagstisch, american Salat mit Putenstreifen, sehr groÃe Portion und wirklich nur frische Salate, ebenso Ei und das gewünschte Dressing sowie ein groÃes La Boca Brot. Mein Mann bestellte die Riesencurrywurst mit Pommes, einfach super lecker und wirklich riesig, ebenfalls für ⬠6,50.Wir werden öfters kommen und freuen uns schon auf leckeres Essen und eine sehr freundliche Bedienung, teilweise vom Besitzer selbst.Es ist wirklich zu empfehlen.
