The apartment is clean and well equipped and in a superb, quiet location with adjacent forest and abundant wildlife, especially birds including nuthatch, woodpeckers, flycatchers and many varieties of raptor - although we also saw red squirrels, wild boar, deer and possibly the largest hare in the world! There is off-road parking. The vast expanse of heather covered moorland of the Nordheide is easily accessible. It is only about a quarter of an hour's drive to Buchholz with its many supermarkets, shops and restaurants, although there are some very good country restaurants nearby. Annegret is a perfect hostess, attentive and accommodating without being in the least intrusive. We had friends visit from Hamburg and she was more than happy to make up two extra beds so they could have a drink and stay the night - no charge. Her large garden is a marvel and designed as a managed wilderness to be a haven for native plants and wildlife, including insects. Such a wild space takes a lot of work and dedication, so Annegret spends quite a few hours every day maintaining it - do ask her to show you around, it's fabulous! All in all one of the very best, and least expensive apartments in which we have stayed - I cannot recommend it highly enough.

We were driving with our family bus for a little "explore the nature" day but we wouldn't start on an empty stomach so we looked for a restaurant nearby. We got lucky and we found this one where the food was just delicious. We had aperitifs, we were served a carrot soup witch was also perfect. The main course was no ordinary, even if I took a turkey brest with rice, that was donr with a peanuts sauce and a cucumber salad was included. The Arrabiata pasta werw also delicious made with rucola.The price for a menu ( soup, main course, desser) was about 12e what is absolutely super for this kind of quality.

We were there twice last seven days, due to the soccer worldcup. We had various "Grill Teller" and they were all very tasty and more than enough. Service is very friendly, already the first time it made us feel like home.

A lovely, calm place located only 5 minutes from the A7, Hittfeld. Our guests enjoy their stay on our terrace by the water or in front of the fireplace inside the restaurant. We offer fresh German regional and seasonal food in a beautiful atmosphere.

This restaurant considered as best restaurant in this area by Michelin guide 2015-2017, the location is very nice with the lake and garden.i feel more in tropical country in Summer than in mid Europe. Nicely choose vegetation surroundings make the place even better. We came for dinner and since this area are best for forelle fish, we order grilled forelle with tomato soup as starter, the soup was ok but the grilled forelle is amazing with aioli sauce and chimi churi even better the taste like melting in the mouth. The Apple crumble in dessert menu is good thing to choose also! It was great experience to dinner there and all staff is very friendly. The price bit high but for the experience is worth.

Several rooms, including smoking permitted and non smoking areas, busy, warm atmosphere. Large menu of standard German fare reasonably edible - (however, their grünkohl eintopf was very disappointing considering it's a seasonal local delicacy) - a bit on the expensive side, but central and warm and open when you need it!

First class -high quality place. I notised that directly when I entered the bathroom and heard nice music coming out from Sonos loudspeakers :) .... This sign of quality was very consistent in all our experiences . Excellent food served at dinner i lush garden ,nice spacious room with good beds and a delightful breakfast served by Patron himself. A perfect place to relax ,have a walk in the country side and enjoy a good meal before driving further .Not far at all from the A7

Wir waren zu einer Geburtstagsfeier in den Grünen Jäger in Jesteburg eingeladen. Das ganze Restaurant war für die geschlossene Gesellschaft reserviert, schön dekoriert, und das Buffet war sehr gut. Wir nächtigten auch im dem Hotel und waren sehr angetan. Es liegt sehr ruhig inmitten von Wald und Wiesen am Ortsrand von Jesteburg, kein Autoverkehr störte unsere Nachtruhe, der Sternenhimmel war gut zu sehen. Die Zimmer sind nicht sehr groÃ, doch individuell und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Bäder geräumig, mit Fenster, und ansprechend ohne Schnickschnack. Der Frühstücksraum hell und freundlich. Wir fühlten uns gut aufgehoben. Wenn man in der Gegend ist und Unterkunft benötigt, ist das Landgasthaus "Zum Grünen Jäger" eine gute Wahl.

We have always liked the place, but things have changed...We had made a reservation for late lunch today and were "received" by a fellow in a "Brian Adams look" with a simple, take the table at the chimney or go outside! Obviously I gave him hell which he didn´t lik obviously! Fortunaly "Brian Adams" stayed away from our table and we were attended by friendly people afterwards. Problem, "Brian Adams" appeared to be the "Maitre"...While we were eating, I think about two couples were chased away, all they wanted was a cup of coffee and a piece of cake. The reason, we have a tourbus here of coming, come back at five o`clock. Same friendly style! Both couples left disgusted and mumbled "well if that´s the way, we won´t come back". One way is to politely say we are full, another to belittle people! Bothe these people could have easily have had their coffee and cake, it wouldn´t have required subhuman service. Be ware what´s happening here!!!
