not sure about this "terrible" recent review, but we loved our prolonged lunch at goodo..... beautiful interior deisgn; fresh, local ingredients etc; some modern spins on local dishes but nothing too crazy -- but everything cooked with passion...... owner charming and patient.....

I've had the opportunity to dine at La Pignata on several occasions while staying in Locorotondo. I've never had a dissapointing experience. The service is friendly and professional, the food is well prepared using only the freshest local ingredients and the prices are more than fair. At lunch last Friday, I enjoyed a grilled costata di vitello which was exceptionally flavorful and prepared exactly as requested. The puree di fava is a favorite of mine, served with roasted peppers and chicory and the wine selection is good for a restaurant of this size. Pizza and pasta (the orecchiette with pomodoro and basilico is outstqanding) round out the menu. The family-run aspect of this restaurant makes it feel as though you are dining is someone's home, and Lorenzo is the consumate host, insuring that your experience is a good one.

They were closed yet allowed us a wine tasting, which came with a complete meal, as if you ate where the hospitality edged onto the spectacular. Ignazio was our host and what a perfect night for us. He made the already brilliant town look even better. Highly memorable for service, wine pairings and food.

I was here last Friday night (24May2019). Yeah the location is a bit out of the town center but It is very easy to get there and there is plenty of parking space.The inside is modern but with the typical Puglia traditional style, super clean and cosy. Lovely place to spend a night out with friends and/or family.Food was excellent!!! I am Vegan, and I had plenty of food and options. Absolutely everything was delicious. Specially the parmigiana and the orecchiette with funghi porcini and fave. Everything has a little twist which is why this place stands out from the rest. And by the way, I am not Italian but I often travel to Puglia, I visited this restaurant with friends from Fasano, and they loved the food as much as I did (And they are not vegans). The chef and the waiter were super friendly and super helpful with my diet. They really made a special atmosphere. Great team! The price was normal, We spend what we normally do in a restaurant. Overall, excellent food excellent service. I will definitely recommend this place and for sure I will come back in my next visit to Puglia. See you this summer! :)

We came in rather early to local standards but were immediately seated and got a bottle of sparkling water, soon accompanied by a complementary glass of spumante and bruschette.We enjoyed nice antipasti di mare and soon got our primi as well. Nice plate of linguine with Gargano clams. Meanwhile the place was getting full and we could see the team in action. No table or guest was left unattended and all plates came fast and served with passion. Once again we noticed restaurants outside town serve better food and provide better service, their success is the fruit of their efforts and not just of their location.As I preferred spumante over "fermo" but did not want to take a whole bottle being the only one at the table drinking alcohol and being the driver as well, the waiter simply kept serving me his complementary spumante. Our generous tip was not only because of this well deserved. Best meal we had in Puglia, grazie mille.

Everything was great but the food was just ok. Lovely environment, great service, the menu sounded amazing and it was very difficult to choose as all sounded great, unfortunately when the food arrived, it didnât excite us. The highlight of our 3 course lunch was the tiramisu which is amazing.
