This is a great bar, just on the edge of the town and with fantastic views across the plain towards Martina Franca. It was a good venue for an early evening drink and lunchtime refreshment too, and is open throughout the day for food and drinks. The staff are friendly, and helped to set up the table football for us! Itâs quite a trendy place, and is probably buzzing later in the evening â I think itâs open till 3am.

Italian food to die for!! In true heart of Puglia - this beautiful restaurant deliver most outstanding dining experience ever. Simple, beautifuly presented and incredibly teasty dishes delivered by amazing chef PPaulo. I have to ask of course whoâs the chef. 10/10

We came in rather early to local standards but were immediately seated and got a bottle of sparkling water, soon accompanied by a complementary glass of spumante and bruschette.We enjoyed nice antipasti di mare and soon got our primi as well. Nice plate of linguine with Gargano clams. Meanwhile the place was getting full and we could see the team in action. No table or guest was left unattended and all plates came fast and served with passion. Once again we noticed restaurants outside town serve better food and provide better service, their success is the fruit of their efforts and not just of their location.As I preferred spumante over "fermo" but did not want to take a whole bottle being the only one at the table drinking alcohol and being the driver as well, the waiter simply kept serving me his complementary spumante. Our generous tip was not only because of this well deserved. Best meal we had in Puglia, grazie mille.

Everything was great but the food was just ok. Lovely environment, great service, the menu sounded amazing and it was very difficult to choose as all sounded great, unfortunately when the food arrived, it didnât excite us. The highlight of our 3 course lunch was the tiramisu which is amazing.

Super cute spot in an alleyway thatâs a little tricky to find but we loved it. We came on the earlier side around 8pm and didnât have to wait for a table - when we left around 9 there was quite a wait. The service was attentive and fast - great wine and delicious pizza. They customized and it was incredible value. Bill was only $38 euro. Love it!

If your looking for this restaurant you might get two addresses for it, it has an entrance on both streets, so both are good. I have lived in the area for nearly 4 years now and at the moment I am trying to visit a different restaurant every week. I must say that this has been one of the best so far. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, we were welcomed immediately on arrival and shown to our table. The interior is traditional with modern fixtures and furnishings, it works well. We were served a very small taster before our antipasti arrived, a tiny beef burger garnished with red onion and a salsa. For starters we shared a couple of antipasti, one local capocollo which was served with a small quiche and the second were finely slice vegetables in filo pastry served with an excellent red onion jam. Very good.Main course we both had pork, cooked with a crust of sesame seeds, it was moist and wonderful. To accompany it we had rosemary potatoes, small cubes oven roasted. We decided against a desert, but they brought us a couple of samples anyway. There was a creamy moose served in a cappuccino cup, very rich so just enough and then a slice of pistachio type cake with a delicious rose flavoured ice cream. Service was professional and friendly throughout. We didnât have the waiter arriving every two minutes to ask if everything was alright. There was a decent wine list all reasonably priced. The food here did not disappoint. The steak was phenomenal, especially the eye of the fillet, wow, it was like melt in the mouth butter. The staff were lovely and one of them helped to translate our requirements, amazing.

We enjoyed our 7 course Puglian meal extravaganza. The charming dining room is nestled in the Leonardo Trulli Resort beside the pretty pool area. The service was excellent and the meal was 7 taste sensations. We were looking for a nice place, not too touristy, to have a quick lunch and we luckily stumbled into Controra. The place is lovely, it is super nicely decorated and has a great view, It serves great local products. We had one salad to share, two sandwiches, a juice each and coffee and everything was delicious. We were also treated with some figs at the end of our meal and the lovely owner, upon knowing that it was my birthday also treated me to a great dessert. Really lovely owner and staff, the place has such a lovely vibe, it's a little gem! We are really happy to have found it and highly recommend it to anyone going to beautiful Locorotondo.

We had read about L'Arco dei Tipici on TripAdvisor and decided to go for a late lunch one afternoon. It is just around the corner from a wonderful panoramic view from old town Locorotondo and very well positioned out of the afternoon sun. There is a very simple menu and a good selection of local wines so we had a platter of cured meats and cheeses and java beans with chicory greens. We were talked through each dish by our charming hostess and the love for the food of the region was palpable. Some delicious little pastries followed and great coffee - we left replete and happy. Worth a visit.L'Arco dei Tipici vi ringrazia per le belle parole che avete speso e per essere riusciti a garantirvi l'accoglienza giusta.
