We visited Gorky Bar with our translator, must admit I wondered where we were going. You approach a local cafe and enter through it then up the stairs and you enter into a smart, clean and well presented restaurant. I had the beef which was not what I expected but very nice, well worth a visit.

The place is next to Park Inn hotel, and probably is owned by the same owner. Price level a bit high for Izhevsk, there is a choice of more adequate restaurants nearby. Service sort of slow, and restaurant seems to be understaffed even for a slow Wednesday evening. Food is decent, but nothing spectacular. The environment is cozy. Worth a visit if staying at the hotel, feels safe and clean.

We came to visit from Vancouver, Canada this past May 2016. This place was highly recommended to us by locals so we went in hopes that we won't be disappointed. God, was that ever a treat! We tried many different dishes, all were very tasty and different. Authentic is the word. The service was very good which summed up our experience as being excellent overall. Then we went to their other location, on the Victory day street and we had the same amazing meal and experience. I actually liked this location's interior better, lots of natural light inside, just serene. To sum up, if you want to enjoy a hearty traditional Russian style meal that has been made from scratch, Hot Pelmen is the place to visit. Greetings from Canada from Maria and Angela!

It was one of a few restaurants which was opened till 1 am (not every day! Please check the opening hours), but it was simply great experience from the very beginning: - interior - new and weâll thought through with every tiny detail.- service - even that two of our first vine choices were out of stock (one by one), we were a 100% satisfied with the communication and final suggestion. It was really professional!- food - the many is relatively small, and mostly meat-oriented but everything we tried was made of fresh ingredients and cooked with care. And a long cocktail list for one who cares)
