We were shopping in the plaza and just passed by this place so we choose a pizza to eat there. It was a huge mistake. It was not hot, barely warm and the cheese were just like the cheepest they can get. Toppings were less than expected and the price was too high for this. The pizza was not crusty, it was like a dampling. I do not recommend it.

This cafe is right opposite the Hotel Estella and it was a convenient place to get something to eat the night we arrived. It looked pretty down-market and not designed for tourists since the menu was only in Hungarian. The fact that the staff didn't speak English didn't help. With names like Crazy Cat Pizza and Crazy Dog Pizza one didn't have too much idea what toppings to expect but there were some pictures to give some clues. In fact the food was surprisingly good, very reasonably priced, and we enjoyed our meal. There is seating both inside and outside but the evening we arrived was very cold and it had to be inside. However, we went there again with some friends for lunch a couple of days later when the weather was lovely and warm and we sat outside. Again the food was very good and we all enjoyed our meal.

Traditional italian cuisine at the foot of Eger castle. Fresh home made pizza and pasta. You are welcome to enjoy our italian taste in historic environment.
We have visited Pizzella on our first day in Eger for a dinner, The restaurant is located at the Castle Gate, Tinódà Sebestyén Square, so it is well-placed. However the design is good, the service is quite kind, the food wasn't authentic, even if the restaurant said it is an authentic italian restaurant. The pizza crust wasn't enough thin and crunchy, but the toppings are good quality. The penne was not al dente and wasn't hot as it must be for a penne all'arrabiata.Small terrace (4-5 tables) is available.I was a bit disappointed, we should try the other italian, next to the Palacsintavár...

Best Italian pizza not only in Eger, but most probably in the region. Run by Italians from Padova. Quick and kind service, fresh ingredients. Give a try!!ValószÃnűleg a legjobb olasz pizza a környéken. Olasz tulajok, kedves, gyors kiszolgálás, friss alapanyagok. Ne hagyd ki, ha Egerben jársz!

We love coffee, we love kids. Come in and enjoy a cup of specialty coffee, additive free pastry, gluten free options, special beverages, kids corner with toys and a baby-nursing room.
May be difficult to find as it is in a courtyard off one of the main pedestrian streets . Really good well prepared and quality coffee. Hot and cold snacks. Children friendly is a definite yes. Nice courtyard for summer visits. Thank you for your review! We are looking forward to see you again! We are working on a new marker so we are easier to find.

An open kitchen restaurant for those, who love italian dishes - based on traditional recipes - which served in light, modern form.
We visited here in June my husband and I were so disappointed in the service, or lack of it. On being seated we waited 15 minutes for a drinks order to be taken. No apologies for the wait. When our food order came they brought my starter and main both at the same time I had to ask for my main to be kept warm and the food was delicious even though we were another 45 minutes waiting on it

My wife and I finally got to eat at the Il Padrino Pizza Club - on our fifth trip to Eger. The reviews and accompanying photos on Tripadvisor were pretty compelling, so we went there for lunch. We were quickly seated on the austere second floor, and the waitress was efficient in providing menus, taking our drink order, eventually taking our food order, and wrapping the few remaining slices for take-away.We had Gorgonzola e Spinacci and a Pizza Pepperoni. They looked great...However, upon first bite we were both overwhelmed with the sweetness of the sauce. A good sauce is made from tomato pasasta, tomato paste, garlic, oregano, basil, olive oil, and salt. Modern plant breeding has produced tomatoes that are naturally sweet, and are used by all major food producers in their products. There is no need to add sugar unless you are making homemade sauce from your late season homegrown tomatoes, which do tend toward the sour side.We quickly adapted to the sweetness, and were impressed by the outstanding crust, and the overall quality of the toppings.
