Abbiamo cenato ieri sera con amici, tavolo di 5 persone. Location anni 90 ma curata, cena in giardino, tavolo poco illuminato.Abbiamo ordinato 2 antipasti misti Jarè (composti da 3 portate terra e 3 mare ciascuno), una porzione di cozze gratin, un piattino di scampi crudi (composto su richiesta da 3 gamberi e 3 cicale di mare) ed una triglia, sempre cruda. Tutto fresco e buono.A seguire 5 primi, (2 fusilli pescatrice vongole e menta, 2 tagliolini tonno e pistacchio e 1 pacchero jarè) risultati abbondanti, ma senza infamia e senza lode.Acqua, vino rosato fermo della casa, e per finire spumoni, cheese cake alla nutella ed un sorbetto.Il servizio è molto attento al cliente e rapido nonostante fosse un sabato sera a locale pieno.Unica nota dolente che ci ha fatti sentire presi in giro è stata la "pesata" degli scampi crudi (ricordo 3 gamberi e 3 cicale di mare) pari a 600 grammi, 36⬠per intenderci, quindi 6⬠al pezzo.L'abbiamo fatto notare ed il ragazzo alla cassa, con una buona dose di imbarazzo si è scusato dicendo che la pesata "viene comunicata dalla cucina" ed ha provato a rimediare scontando 10 ⬠dal conto totale pari ad ⬠190.Dal momento che chi fa la pesa in cucina fa di questi "errori" sarebbe corretto oltre che trasparente portare al tavolo insieme all'ordinazione, anche la pesata del prodotto acquistato a peso.Nel complesso, considerando come e dove si è mangiato e quanto speso non mi sento di consigliare questo locale o di ritornarci

A hidden gem in Salento! Amazing local food in a great ambience. Very friendly staff, always there to fullfil your culinary needs. Can easily take it up with some of the top restaurants in high-end- gastronomy, but at reasonable prices. A perfect place to experience the real Italian cuisine - away from the "typical" Pizza and Pasta export;-)

Cena allâaperto, materie prime di qualità cucinate con sapienza, un gruppo di musicisti, I Trainanti, giovani e col fuoco dentro, tutto bene dunque? No, per âmeritoâ di chi non tiene a bada i propri figli lasciandoli saltare e scorrazzare tra i tavoli per due ore; così anche una bella serata ha il suo aspetto negativo. Unâintervento del responsabile della struttura sarebbe stato opportuno.

Il posto è bellissimo.. un antico casolare immerso nel verde.. comodo il parcheggio, facile da trovare .. Vi consiglio di iniziare con tutti gli antipasti della casa (le melanzane sono ottime e anche i peperoni croccanti di Antonio .. una vera specialità !) .. Le orecchiette sono fenomenali: consiglio quelle con polpette e ricotta forte!! Ottima la carne e il dolce tipico .. lo Spumone! Antonio è un perfetto padrone di casa, vi racconterà di tutte le verdure e frutta che raccoglie proprio nel suo orto .. Rocco e Francesca, sempre col sorriso, vi sapranno accogliere e consigliare ... insomma.. una tappa dâobbligo per chi passa in Salento!

We ate dinner at this restaurant, primi of a spaghetti con cozze and scrigni agli scampi then fillet scottona for secondi, Nergoamara red wine and local ice cream for desert. All the food was freshly cooked, delicious pasta dishes and tender scottona. The restaurant was busy and the waiters were attentive. The chef came around to check what we had thought of the food after wards - nice touch.

We were very excited to have Neapolitan pizza in this area. We also enjoyed the Puglia tradition of pizza. The sizes were ample, the dough light and soft, the toppings delicious! A wonderful evening at a popular restaurant. The host found a table for us although they were fully booked so we got very lucky!Thank u so much, we are very happy to satisfy our guests. We hope to guest you again.

We ate at Franco's restaurant on two occasions. First evening (Friday) restaurant was very busy with large tables of diners and local family celebrations, we pre-booked our table. Waiter promptly served us, we had Linguine al Ricci (sea urchins) to start followed by fillet steaks with mushroom sauce, a mixed salad, mixed fresh fruit desert, glass of Nergroamara red and nice Chardonnay. The food was lovely, freshly prepared and tasty. Great attentive waiter who even though very, very busy, looked after us very well with a smile.Second visit restaurant was less busy (Tuesday evening) we chose Anti Pasti meats selection to share, then both decided on a Pizza as we don't normally eat them at home. Diavolo and Quatro Stagione and a mixed salad. For dessert we had panna cotta fruita da bosco to share. Nergroamara red wine. All our food was again freshly cooked and well presented.

Capitato per caso sono rimasto Veramente sorpreso. Servizio gentile e cordiale, ottime le cozze, eccellente la linguina al riccio. Calamari un po meno ma assolutamente vale una visita. Conto non so in quanto ho preferito scrivere prima...

We went for dinner in this restaurant and, as soon as we arrived, we were stunned by the beautiful location in harmony with the century-old monumental olive trees. We came back six times in ten days, which speaks volumes to how delicious the food is. Everything is superb, from the starters to the desserts, and is in religious accordance with the traditional cuisine of Salento. Every dish is carefully explained by the very kind staff, which speaks very good English. Andrea and Alessandro are the kindest and most accomodating hosts ever, while their mother is the main cook and their father supervises with great experience and savoir-faire. We recommend the "Antipasto Gli Ulivi", the Carpaccios of Swordfish or Octopus and the delicious Insalata di Mare. Let the staff explain you the several kind of flours from antique grains that they employ in making their pasta by hand, which is the most digerible pasta we ever had. The "Sagne al Ragù di Seppia" and the "Pasta di Riso Venere con Polpo e Funghi Cardoncelli" are simply irresistible, so much that we had them several times. The fish of the day is beautifully prepared and served, and the "Pezzetti di Cavallo" (diced horsemeat) is a real treat. Five stars is an understatement. Keep up the good work!

I shall write the review in English as it might help those vagabonds. For starters the place feels like one of those restaurants that winds you back to 30-40 years back. The young waiters are nice,well-mannered, sometimes a bit too eager (they whisked the plate away even before we finished licking the plate clean) but you feel comfortable.The patio is marvelous with grapes hanging down and the portions are well more than one can eat. Food very fresh the pasta was amazing!They speak a bit of English( my friend was French) but I can't vouch for their english as I'm italian but i can definitely say that with your eyes closed you'll end up having some quite well cooked, definitely mouthwatering seafood.Salve, sono Andrea, il proprietario della struttura ed addetto alle pubbliche relazioni.Grazie per la bella recensione e per esserci venut a trovare, spero di rivederla nuovamente a cenare ancora da noi!!Cordiali saluti, Andrea
