The service is top. The food is homemade, delicious, and big portions. I approve! I am Greek - American and on a quick trip to visit my dear friends in Holland. We drove to Emmerich, Germany to eat at their favorite restaurant Achilles! Totally delicious and George treats everyone like family. Bravo!

An der Rhein"promenade" gelegen ist dieses Restaurant für uns noch der einzige Lichtblick an diesem Tag in Emmerich. Personal weiss zwar nicht, was der jeweils andere tut (recht schlecht organisiert!), so dass wir gleich von drei verschiedenen Servicekräften bedient werden und alles länger dauert, als erwartet. Dafür ist die Lasagne und die groÃe Pizza wirklich lecker! Wir saÃen drauen auf der Terrasse und genossen den lauen Sommerabend.

Zagen dat dit eindelijk geopend was en er meteen naartoe. Blijkt een leuk gezellig ingericht plekje te zijn. Wat nog belangrijker was: heerlijke schnitzel en fijne bediening. Lan niet meer zo'n lekkere schnitzel gegeten. Zeer aan te bevelen.

We ate at the Akropolis while passing through Kleve. We like Greek food and have eaten it during many stays in Greece and Cyprus. The nicest thing we found with the food at the Akropolis is that it is truly authentic. The second best thing was the outstanding service. The staff are kind, helpful and attentive, and exceedingly hospitable. I would recommend the Akropolis to anyone staying in or passing through Kleve.

Very tasty! Saturday and Sunday 15-17 h high tea (only via reservation and from 2 persons onwards, tel: 0049 177 99049552). After all this delicious yummy yummy we also ordered some tapas (homemade by the Portuguese wife of the expmoitant). Furthermore available are cocktails, wine, liquers and whiskeys, tea or coffee (with or without liquer) in a beautiful setting. Quite sure we will visit this hidden gem again.
