We ate at the Akropolis while passing through Kleve. We like Greek food and have eaten it during many stays in Greece and Cyprus. The nicest thing we found with the food at the Akropolis is that it is truly authentic. The second best thing was the outstanding service. The staff are kind, helpful and attentive, and exceedingly hospitable. I would recommend the Akropolis to anyone staying in or passing through Kleve.

I have been to Emmerich regularly over the years and during these times there have been several changes in ownership of this restaurant. Standards of quality differed as a result of this but since about 2 years this place has been really good.Service is friendly and attentive and they offer more or less the same as most other greek restaurants in Germany: large portions of grilled meat at very affordable prices. They also have some really greek dishes (stifado for instance) which are good as well.In short: a very pleasant and affordable place, very popular with dutch visitors.

We used to come here a lot, about once a week, until about a year ago a different owner come in. The food was of the same better than average quality but the tables and menus became very sticky. Not once, that is excusable, something went wrong, but several times is not. We took our business elsewhere.

The service is top. The food is homemade, delicious, and big portions. I approve! I am Greek - American and on a quick trip to visit my dear friends in Holland. We drove to Emmerich, Germany to eat at their favorite restaurant Achilles! Totally delicious and George treats everyone like family. Bravo!

Since we came here the first time we keep returning, it is our we donât want too cook but are very hungry restaurant. The menu is classic Greek restaurant, but the quality is good, the prices moderate and the portions âHungry Manâ. The service is very friendly and the Ouzo is on the house. Donât expect Michelin star kinda food, but it is well prepared and the quality is very good. I mostly eat lamb, that is tender and prepared how you order it. Red is Red, Pink is Pink. This is actually a problem in a lot of restaurant. No matter how you order your beef of lamb, it is always medium. Not so here.Also try the baby calamaris, they are nice!

We used to eat here regularly and liked it. The food was tasty, portions were big, prices very reasonable, friendly staff....but one day we found A FLY inside of our stuffed wine leaves....That's right...a fly....and it did not just fall into our food...we found it after cutting the wine leave in halves....it must have gone inside during preparation.We complained to the waiter who did not feel like apologies at all, in stead making a silly joke like "You must be lucky that you didn eat it..."We never went here again, I have serious doubts about their level of hygiene.
