It is a very good old restaurant with typical Slovene food and style. You can get really good food, for example: beef soup and amazing beefsteak, but do not expect modern and fancy food.

That made us wonder how clean the kitchen is. The service was not great. The food was ok. I had the sausage and I enjoyed it. However when you receive anything that you are unsatisfied with you MUST inform our staff so we can fix the situation immediately. Spring is here and Odprta kuhna is coming back to PogaÄarjev trg. We expect more interesting food for each taste. It will come from all sides of the world. Opening is dedicated to food from Slovenia. Križanke Summer festival was reserved for all hungry and thirsty visitors. Good start but can be improved.

Booking for lunch is a good idea - while we were there several spec arrivals were turned away. Nice clean, white interior with space for maybe 15 -20 covers.Friendly service of a daily fresh menu. The penne with white fish and truffle oil was abundant and delicious. A local beer of just 2.5«v was a suitable accompaniment.The daily dessert of homemade lemon cheesecake was light and fresh. A final coffee brought the bill to a little over â¬20. Great value.

Modern design, very nice interior, knowledgeable and high class waiting staff and very good food are main characteristics of this restaurant. Only down side is its location, away from city center, so use of taxi is recommended (unless you have a car at disposal). During the rush hour you can get stuck in a traffic jam. But since Ljubljana is a small town, this could take you away some 15-20 minutes, no more. Once you are in the restaurant, I am positively sure you will love it. Cuisine is on the modern side and very tasty. I had a fish and it was very nice.

Hidden in a small village, suburbs of Ljubljana the restaurant offers wonderful Slovenian national dishes. There is a decent parking lot. The atmosphere is homely and warm. Food was very good, in particular the beef soup with noodles and pumpkin soup, and pork roast served with the best roasted young potatoes ever and fried chicken. For a welcome, there was a glass of plum brandy with a plum inside. The house wines, bottled specially for Kovac were very good. The only small disappointment was the dessert, two pieces of strudel one with cheese and other with apples. The one with cheese was very dry and overbaked while the apple one could do with some more apples.

Similar as Gostilna Dela in Ljubljana at Poljanska. The concept is the same but with slightly more compact menu. Space is very specious with nice outdoor place and there is even free parking. We'll visit it again sooner or later.Dear Sebastjan. Hvala za komentar in pohvalo :)

We held a business lunch in this restaurant because of all good reviews and we were not dissapointed. Service was really friendly and the food tasty. We had appetizers, mushroom and beef soup, duck with potatoes and different steaks, all well prepared and nicely presented. Apple strudel was one of the best strudels that I ever tasted. So I highly recommend this place for all opportunities - family celebration, business meetings or just casual meals

This family run restaurant is one of my favorites in Slovenia. SUPER friendly and proffesional service, excellent fish dishes! If you have time you should order 1 day in advance their "fish izpod peke" in my opinion best way to prepare fresh adriatic fish with vegetables..they have super selection of wines to accompany the dishes..I can highly recommend this restaurant
