We had put this cafe on our âmust visitâ list before we went to Ljubljana. For a while, we werenât sure where it was (we couldâve used apple maps!) and then whilst trying to shelter from the rain, we stumbled across it! Great little place to grab a bite to eat. Hubby had soup & I had croque monsieur. Both arrived hot, fresh and tasty. Nice cold beers to go with them. Reasonable prices. Would recommend.

Trip adviser has quite a mess. VolÄji Potok Restaurant is nice, snobbish and very expansive place near the Golf Course. Arboretum VolÄji Potok Café are two places in the arboretum. One is near the small gallery with sculptures. It is an average place with drinks and ice cream during the summer season. Second and better Café is refreshment place in the big building with some offices and near the rosary. It is mainly open garden with some tables. They serve decent ice cream, some simple food and drinks. Young waiters try to serve as fast as possible in the holiday crowd. I recommend this last place.

This has been our family's favorite pastry shop for a couple of decades. It is a family run business with pastry, cakes, baklavas made on site, all fresh and top quality. We also order birthday cakes there. They also make great coffees and ice cream. We like the small tables and chairs, the indoors or open terrace seating, with pleasant atmosphere, friendly and fast service. It is in ÄrnuÄe, not the center of Ljubljana but if you are in the area or driving nearby, it is worth a small detour and the stop. We always do and it seems others do too. You can park right in the front of the door. The place is by the main road while the terrace is to the side and covered, with potted flowers on the railings.

The cafes and restaurants in the Ljubljana city center offer many dining options. Strolling along looking for lunch, the menu for Cajna Hisa looked promising; I stopped in and had a solid lunch at a fair price. Read on for details.It was blazing hot and, while there were people sitting outside under umbrellas, it was a little cooler inside. The waiter took my order in a few minutes with my drinks (fruit tea and water [with gas]) arriving a few minutes later.The caprese salad featured large slabs of fresh tomato with equally large slabs of mozzarella; an always tasty dish (when done right as it was here.) The salmon sandwich came on a fresh multi-grain baguette and was served with sliced egg and cucumber. It was good but could have use more salmon.The salad, sandwich, tea and bottlled bubbly water came to 15 Euro. It was worth it and I'd return if I again needed lunch in the Ljubljana city center

right there on the ljubljana's railway station with a taste of nostaglia stands the perfect smoothie bar/caffe with some healthy tasty sandwiches and cakes. do not forget their smoothies and coffee. my breakfast was the most delicious hummus ever on spelt bun with fresh tomatos and leeks. out od the crowds, with trains passing by, calm and tasty. an absolute must when you are in ljubljana

Stopped by for a quick bite. I had a sandwich and my friend had eggs. The waiter was extremely friendly. The bistro is small and cosy. It is right by the river in the city center. You can find parking on the street close to the bistro. Prices are affordable. We paid 20 Euros in total with drinks.
