The tuna was so good. Is a takeaway place, but you can eat on the tables right outside this place...

One of many small eateries on Zamami-Son. Always busy and always very good for a simple tasty lunch. Itâs a small place with a small menu and like many of the eateries on the island, it looks a bit temporary, but it has been there for some years now so not so much temporary about it.If I can recommend one if the dishes. No, they are all good.

Service was ok although had no expectations like other places on the island.Food was average to ve honest. Sashimi was not nicely cut. Prawn mayonnaise was the highlight.Compared with other - more expensive - options in Naha : kawaji honten - best to save your money and be amazed!Back on Zamami go to Toquee restaurant where cuisine is more creative.Book in advance or try a walk in!Not open for lunch

Menu is basic but perfect for a local lunch. They serve Okinawan style noodles and rice with pork. Very tasty. Cool little venue. English menu available.

this place is ace, simple, unpretentious food - english menu with photos, service attentive and rapid. Have the deep fried peanut tofu - think its some sort of local delicacy but much richer and creamier than normal tofu. Its located right next to beachcomber lodges and joy joy village, looks intimating to enter (very japanese) but don't be put off. Beef and veg stir fry was pretty good. Also cheap too, £19.60 for 2 main courses, 2 side dishes and a drink.

Itâs one of the institutions in Aharen beach hamlet and it must have been there for a long time. When inside you get greeted by a very friendly lady with a hat. We call her âSoba Omaâ like the German version of grand ma.We have now visit the âshackâ once a year for about 5 years, and have never been disappointed by the traditional Okinawa noodles served there. It is decent and tasty. The shop itself is a bit cluttered, however, I see that more like a style and part of the environment.

I think this is the only restaurant in Tokashiki island offering Buffet Breakfast with some ocidental stuff. I mean sausages, ham, bacon, egs , bread, etc... I'm not fan of Japanese Breakfast ( they serve japanese food in the buffet as well) , so for me it is a really great deal!

My 7 year picked this restaurant and everyone enjoyed! One person speaks fluent English and waitress tried. It a lot of drinks for kids; but they did not mind that my son went and grabbed a drink from the vending machine outside.

The food here isn't spectacular or anything, but there are limited options at Aharen (seemed like most places were closed) and this was the best we came across. We actually stayed at the sea friend so we had two dinners and two breakfasts here. Not sure how much breakfast costs, but it was fine for us (included in our room price). It had a couple protein options each day, some eggs, rice, soup, bread, salad, various pickles and coffee/tea/water.For dinner, our favorite dish was the tofu stir fry - note that there is pork in this dish. We also tried a couple of fish dishes, which were good. The fish sautéed in garlic and butter was my favorite, although there were so many bones to pick out. The fried fish was nice but a little small of a portion. We also tried the karaage and fried octopus which were great, the fried squid which I wouldn't get again, the tofu and tomato salad which was tasty, and the ice dessert (glorified snow cone) and snow ice cream (decent). Service was always quick and friendly

Had a wonderful dinner here, with generous portions of fried potato wedges. Rooted to our seats by an interesting Japanese talent programme showing on TV and was allowed to stay on after finishing our meal, even though it was getting late. Saw lotsa cats sitting demurely and waiting patiently outside the staff door of the restaurants after we left the homely little café.
