Kanemaru is the restaurant where you can enjoy pork meats in the ways of Shabu-shabu and Cutlet. I'm sorry but I cannot recommend this restaurant for those who are prohibited eating pork meats. As I always have Shabu-shabu, allow me to describe about it this time.I believe Shabu-shabu is one of the most popular Japanese dishes and you know it. Many Japanese restaurants offer Shabu-shabu of beef meats, but Shabu-shabu of Kanemaru is as of pork. Of course, the taste is super! Personally, I prefer pork Shabu-shabu here to beefs of other restaurants.You can choose one of three soups for meats dipping; Sukishabu(something like Sukiyaki), Konbu-dashi(seaweed) and Shio(salty)I always visit here in the lunch time and they offer lunch sets. Shabu-shabu set includes meats, vegetables, steamed rice, noodles(Udon noodle for Sukishabu & Konbu, Ramen noodle for Shio) and a small sweet. I bet you can enjoy the best pork Shabu-shabu in a casual way at reasonable prices.

I stumbled accross this izakaya whilst visiting shizuoka (i stayed in fujieda). My visit was in October 2008 and I have not forgotten this place since! When i entered, the atmosphere was great! lots of people and very lively. I ordered some food and beer. The food (mixed grill skewers) were VERY good... i still remember it now! The sauce with cucumber was delicious! In addition, the people at the izakaya - i made two friends here where we drank with the staff - Tsukasa san! their hospitality and friendly will always be remembered, and i will come back to this place when i return to japan! domoarigatougozaimashita!

This Sushi restaurant by Uogashi-zushi company is the first Nagare-zushi style in Japan. The style is not the popular "merry-go-round" type, but the sushi ordered by customers are delivered to their seats by the belt-conveyor.Uogashi-zushi is famous with its Sushi of fresh and big fish. This site also provides high quality fish and we can enjoy the harmony of fish and rice.My recommendation is "One Coin Lunch" that is provided on weekdays' lunch time. The price is JPY500 only and it contains 10 kan(10 pieces) of sushi as well as a bowl of miso soup.
