Our hotel desk person recommended this place and of course I am always suspicious that they get a commission or something. Turned out to be a better than average open air place with the typical tacos and other really cheap eats. However a couple told us they had some great ribs there cooked on open BBQ at night. The day we went was for lunch so had a beef taco 15 pesos and coconut shrimp which turned out to be wonderful with salad and rice for about 130 pesos. There were about 9 or 10 good sized shrimp. It was all my partner and I could eat. I rate that meal highly and we went back for dinner the next day to try the ribs which were as good as the other couple told us they were. The ribs were cooked perfectly falling off the bone and tender with grilled veggies and rice. I think we had something else small but cant remember but I think the taste price value proposition makes this place a winner. WE asked about music in town and unfortunately for us they had some but only on Friday and Sat. We were there Monday Tues. Drats!

Stayed in Guayabitos for feb 2018 near this new restaurant (not to be confused by other gigio In la penita. ) visited at least five times. Best pizza I town, made by Italians the real Italian way. Also had pastas, all excellent. Beach restaurant so do not expect luxury. Friendly owners and staff. This will be a hit. Waiting to see other reviews. You can walk in the beach (beside karlas & San Juan restaurants) or drive. Free parking on retorno, then cross little bridge to get to restaurant.

We went for our usual all the shrimp you can eat supper at Salvadors when we were in Rincon De Guayabitos. The shrimp were very good and so were the other entrees that some of our group had. Salvador is such a great host. The price is starting to get a little high @ $30.00 for all the shrimp you can eat + 2 beer. When we first went there a few years back it was $20.00 for the same meal. The music was very good also. All in all a great dining experience just starting to get a little pricey.

We only had some cold drinks after shopping at the Thursday market that surrounds this spot. We enjoyed those drinks and the service. I studied the daily specials and they were very tempting ... real honest to god Italian dishes in an area where simple seafood prevails. Wish I'd had an entree so I could tell you if it was as good as it sounded, but I didn't. I will certainly return and try it out based on our short visit though. You should too.

The tuna, catch of the day= dorado in a white sauce, appetizer of fried seafood, the ravioli with the grilled pork and the shrimp dishes were all very tasty. Good cocktails and very nice serviceâ all makes for a pleasant dinner. Very responsive as we were right below their speaker and we asked if they could turn the volume down and did so immediately-thank you!

Best pizza I have ever had in Mexico. Thin crust and a delicious and favorable sauce makes the dish as good or better than the others I've tried. As a bonus, this restaurant is open for breakfast. Very good food, really good coffee.

We stopped in for coffee on a Thursday morning. It was market day in La Penita so the restaurant was fairly busy. We initially had to sit inside until a table was available outside. It was really hot inside the restaurant. We ordered immediately, but in all the confusion we did not receive our coffee until 20 minutes later. A bit slow IMHO. Regardless the coffee was good and our server was apologetic for the delay. We will definitely return.
