Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Punta del Este. Punta del Este is known as the St. Tropez of Uruguay, thanks to its beautiful beaches, upscale resorts and swanky nightclubs. The Vegas-style Conrad Casino adds to the lively entertainment scene. For a break from surf and sand, saddle up with a local gaucho and ride horseback through the wild plains surrounding the city.

We ordered the eggplant, pepper, mozzarella pizza and the tomato, basil, mushroom pizza. The toppings were good and the sauce was light. I liked the eggplant one more. The crust was too crunchy for my liking which is why I gave it an average rating. I think crust can make or break a pizza. It's a decent pizza but it's 370 pesos which is on the high end for a personal pizza. The highlight of the meal was the amazing Soufflé desert imported from New York. We had it with strawberry ice cream and it tastes like cookie dough with melted chocolate in the center. I posted a picture but we had already started digging into it. I highly recommend the desert. The other bonus is this place has all vegetarian ingredients. I'm not familiar with kosher but it's a bonus in my book. Thank you so much for your review! We try to cater to all tastes, some like soft crust, some like it harder. We are very flexible and a customer can ask for soft or harder crust. Some clients walk in and we already know what they like! Safe travels!

The best italian restaurant in Punta del Este/Uruguay. Its a very nice place, ci vediamo!!Grazie!
Nice place that extends during the season. Main restaurant is cosy and warm. Waiters attentive. Food well plated and presented. Some dishes were bland. A bit of a mixed review. My seafood spaghetti was excellent. Unfortunately the other dishes were mediocre. Prices are high.

I have been to this lovely restaurant so many time since it opened! We love going there with friends, or taking the kids, since the food is outstanding, the ingredients extremely fresh (yesterday we had brotola, the local and delicious fish) the service wonderfully friendly and the atomosphere pleasant and relaxed. The builing is an old house, beautifully restored, in front of lovely Plaza del Vigia, with its tower that can be seen from the patio. It really is fine dining for a mid-range price.

We happened upon Guappa while looking for a lunch spot. With free Wi-Fi, excellent service and great food and wine, we left quite pleased! The tostada con Jamon y queso was excellent, far too big for one person and my husband's fish was cooked perfectly. The wine list has many good options and the ambiance is pleasant for an afternoon lunch.

Place is very small, only 5 tables so better to book if possible. They offer some cocktails from which we tried two (mojito and gin citric) and they were nicely made. Then we had empanaditas de osobuco and a small pizza as starters; both of them nice although the empanaditas really rocked. They were really good.Pizza's dough was neutral, pre-cooked and standard;toppings were nice. For the main dishes we went for the "lasagna de carne" and "moussaka de cordero". Great options, felt like grandma's cuisine. The only down-side to the experience was their wine menu, which is terribly short and options are not the best. Their fanciest bottle goes for 460 pesos and its a pinot noir. Overall, we had a great dinner, the service was truly good and attentive. Will surely come back.

As it's a hotel restaurant ( conrad) i didn't expect too much but i was wrong, very good ambiance, service excelent and the food came as a picture in a beautiful plate, and the most important, very good taste, dessert also, couvert eith excelent breads, nice and calm place with a good life piano player. It's not cheap but as we have gone to many terrible restaurants with the same price in punta del este, i deeply recomend this one. Worth every penny i've spent

Our group of three friends went once again to Isidora Restaurant. It is still one of our favorite places in Punta del Este. Cordial reception, nice table, swift attention for the menu, bread and butter to start. The house salad and the pumpkin soup with shrimps were excellent. The grilled chicken was tender, Spaghetti with seafood were al dente and a nice portion. The local fish, Brotola grillé, perfectly prepared. The side orders rice, spinach and French fries very good. A wonderful bottle of Monte Vid Eu from one of the premium wineries of Uruguay, Bodegas Bouza is worth its price. The maître dâ, Washington, is the conductor of a team of nice waiters. We had again a very nice evening. Thanks to the Gostanian Family. Max

Elmo used to be a tiny little hidden Pizza place, simple but with alot of shabby chic ambiance! The Pizza and other simple food is still great but the prices have gone up since they started 5 years ago!

La Fusion Pizza y Cafe esta en calle 32 esq gorlero y enfrente a los dedos de la mano tambien frente a la terminal de bus y a dos cuadras de la playa
Amazing experience watching Diego making the fresh pizzas on the stone oven. The music was good and the place is very cozy and well located. Even though there were only 2 guys working (Diego that owns the place and one assistant), the service was extremely fast and they were very friendly and efficient. The pizza was perfect, really perfect. The price was reasonable, cheap if you compare with other places in Punta. I consider La Fusion a must go place in Punta del Este.
