Posada de la Viuda it is an amazing property! Each room has a private bath-room, with Tv cable, safe box, air condition and a cosy design. Common areas are also great. Large kitchen fully equipped, big living room with multi lingual books, yard with swimming pool (heated with solar panels), sun loungers, BBQ, wood oven, balcony where to enjoy nice views, many hammocks and a free pool table. Continental Breakfast it is included. Wifi and parking are free of charge. Posada de la Viuda it is located four blocks away from the bus stop number two, and two supermarkets. The Viuda beach it is the nicest in the area, and it is 9 minute walk away. The fishermen centre is 1.2 km away.

Reviewed By jacseattleWish I could have stayed here more than just one night. Everything about the posada was great — lovely setting, comfortable room, friendly atmosphere and very welcoming staff, plenty of room to cook. Located walking distance from town but nicely away from the center.

The place is authenthic, quiet, and very clean, but the best part it the hostess. She is very kind, sweet and helpfull. She has a lot of knowledge and love for the village. We would stay here again.

Reviewed By tanya_withersWe stayed here for 2 nights. It was more than we wanted to pay, but Uruguay isn't an inexpensive place! The room was lovely - it had a small kitchen and an ensuite bathroom. The views from the room were amazing - straight onto the beach and sea. The breakfast was also very good.

The six bungalows are on a property a few blocks from the beach, under pine trees filled with nesting parrots. A real eye to detail and inviting casual-chic style, the place is lovely. Beautiful bed linens and a dreamy bed topped by a wonderful breakfast. We wish our stay could have been longer.

Reviewed By sdarlingt0nAlma is a beautiful hotel tucked into the trees, less than a 10-minute walk from the Playa del Barco beach. It has individual bungalows that are modern and spacious with kitchens and large individual barbecue areas. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were great for the kids. The staff was super friendly. And it was quiet and peaceful even in the middle of high season with loud parties all along the beach. My only suggestion would be a slightly more varied breakfast.

Hodgepodge of rooms, great owner
Reviewed By SR22Aquarella has several different buildings, added on over the years, and I'm sure the quality varies. The WiFi was OK, the bed was fine. Bathroom was very small, and it was impossible not to get water all over the floor during a shower. We thought it was expensive - about $230USD per night. We didn't have breakfast. The owner was EXTREMELY helpful with local suggestions and arranging cabs for us.

Great stay on the beach
Reviewed By JonnyG223The hotel has a great location, just feet from the beach and a 15 minute walk to town. The manager, Jonathan, was extremely helpful, nice and a great host. Breakfast can be served in your room or anywhere you like at the hotel grounds. The staff is very friendly and it was fun to practice my Spanish with them. Recommend this hotel for a fun stay on the beach!

Nice appartments
Reviewed By Martin VWe really liked the appartments with the nice balcony. Only thing we didn't enjoy so much is the dogs which are friendly but slobber on you and do their thing in The garden. Also unfortunately the kids didn't seem in the best mood that we literally decided to go into town to get away from the crying. So appartments nice, but the distance to the owners private life could be improved.

Reviewed By marilynlZ1345SZThe owners were very thoughtful in the way they set up the rooms. It was the best stay of our vacation. Breakfasts were delicious with homemade jams. We used the outdoor kitchen to BBQ a dinner for our family. Everything we needed was there for us to use. Loved it.
