Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Goettingen. Best known to most Germans as the locale of Georg-August University, Gottingen has about 130,000 residents, about a quarter of whom are students. Gänseliesel (Goose Girl) is the city's most famous resident, a 1901 fountain built in front of the 14th century Rathaus (Town Hall), which today houses the city's tourist office. But even Goose Girl can't escape the college students, who by tradition upon receiving their PhDs must climb and kiss her, making her "the most kissed girl in the world."

I was there with a very large group of people, so the service was a little slow - but the food was absolutely exquisite. This is a wonderful restaurant.

I recently visited Göttingen for a month and visited the local restaurants often. Restaurant Boccadoro was one of my regular stops. The owner is friendly and attentive and the food and wine are excellent. The staff is also very friendly. The location is in picturesque part of the old town, away from the over-commercialized city center. I was very happy to see that this restaurant was getting good reviews in TripAdvisor because it is a gem.

Vapiano offers salads, pastas, risottos and pizza that are prepared in front of you. You get a card that you charge when you order your food and pay at the end accordingly. The prices are very reasonable. I had a salad "Nizza" which was fresh, well prepared and tasty. My colleagues went for a pasta or a risotto, and all were quite happy with their choices. Do not expect great Italian cuisine but rather a tasty and quickly delivered dishes. You can eat your food insides or outside on long tables equipped with olive oil, vinegar and peppered oil. Basil plants are on every table if you need to add some additional flavor to your order.

I went to visit my sister in Göttingen and as we were walking we noticed this restaurant and we decided to try it out. Best decision ever. I had a pizza and my sister ordered fish. They tasted absolutely delicious. We actually ended up visiting this place two more times while I was there. The place itself was really inviting. The selection of the vines were really good. I strongly recommend this place as I am sure I will be going there again.

This newly opened restaurant is located in a converted Railway Loading and Storage depot where GüterbahnhofstraÃe and Am Güterwerkehrzcentrum meet. It is easy to miss it, as it is set back in the yard in an unlikely building. It does have a spacious car park, but the entrance is up a metal staircase to the loading dock height from the car park.Inside the restaurant is clean and modern. There is a reasonable choice of Italian style food, mostly of high quality. There are pizzas on the menu, but the other dishes are better. There is also a good choice of wines and whisky. The staff are friendly and attentive.

The menu at Mazzoni looks like many others, but we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality. Our dishes were cooked to order and arrived quickly. Saltimbocca (15.80 Euro) was plentiful and fresh, the meat tender and the sauce delicious. Truffle ravioli with porcini sauce (9.20) really tasted of both ingredients and the pasta seemed to be freshly made. Portions were generous. The only sub-standard item was the dressing on a salad, which tasted like bottled salad cream. The list of "vintage" wines has some interesting selections with a couple of cabernet blends for about 40 Euro.

An diesem sonnigen Herbsttag stimmte alles.

We went to Fellini with our daughter who has lived in Gottingen for the last 3 months. She chose it based on recommendations from colleagues and TripAdvisor .We were not disappointed . As vegetarians we had plenty of options and although our choices were fairly straightforward, they were delicious, and savoured to the hilt. The place was packed at 7.30 pm on a weekday evening so obviously it's enjoyed by locals.Service was rather perfunctory, perhaps because there were large groups, but polite and prompt.

Was here with my son for a Birthday dinner, and called at short notice to make a reservation for a Saturday on the Friday evening, What a friendly reception, and yes we will work it out, We came, were tucked in the corner by the bar, not a problem friendly greeting, and then the evening started with a bang, Introduction to the Gins, played with the Menu - just like in Italy - and everyone (5) were satisfied with the service, wine and quality of the food, we were almost the last to leave - but nobody pushed us to go and what you pay for is what you get - Quality - Fun - Satisfaction - and honesty. Thank you, we will come again although we drove 300Kms for Dinner.

This restaurant is sure to please kids and adults alike. There are a variety of unusual noodle dishes from around the world...though Iâm a little skeptical of some that seem to be using European-style noodles for Asian and other international dishes. (I didnât actually try them, but that was my impression from the menu.) atmosphere is fun, but the tables are very cramped and crowded together.
