Stepping into a traditional German restaurant like "Zum Siegburger", you are immediately absorbed into the friendly, cosy German ambiance; the proprietor welcomes you and settles you at a nice table and will be bustling to provide you with the menu and a drink, in my case a cold draft Veltins. The rest is history. The schnitzel is perfect, prepared with care from fresh ingredient, the beer is cold and the service is polite, friendly and dedicated. All those factors work together to understand the secret of German restaurants. You will feel at home with plenty of tasty food and cold beer, brought to you by friendly staff. The bill will be moderate. "Gasthof Zum Siegburger" matches all those criteria. To be recommended.

As a vegetarians you're still a bit lost in restaurants in this area but this restaurant was really good. It had several vegetarian dishes and even one vegan dish. I had potatoes au gratin and as a dessert the brownie. The gratin was fine as well as the brownie with tonka bean ice cream. Everything was fresh and well cooked. I thought the dessert was a bit pricey compared to the main dish. Always worth another visit.

Es ist wohl nicht immer einfach, gleichbleibende Qualität zu liefern, vor allem, wenn die Zutaten, die als tagesfrische Lieferung (Seemuscheln) auf den Tischkarten angeboten wurden, sich als das Sammelsurium einer Wochenlieferung entpuppten. Auch unsere Nachfrage durch die Kellnerin in der Küche brachte uns nicht weiter, da auch der Koch behauptete, alles sei tagesfrisch, leider, leider...Ansonsten bietet der Ratskeller vorne den gemütlichen Teil des Restaurants an, der hintere, vermeintlich exquistite Teil des Restaurants mutet für uns eher wie ein Relikt aus der Vorzeit an, arg überladen und plüschig.Die Bedienung ist aufmerksam, leider etwas laut und nicht immer auf der Höhe, wenn es um Auskünfte bzgl. Speisen geht. Das auÃerhalb der Muschelkarte an Speisen angebotene ist handwerklich ordentlich gemacht, es fehlte allerdings auch hier der letzte Pfiff. Ein Aufenthalt für uns, den man ertragen kann, aber nicht unbedingt haben muss.
