Kaiserlich und Königliche Ãsterreichische Küche. Ein Wiener Schnitzel das sich auch so nennen darf, nicht nur alleine weil es Kalbfleisch war. Tolle frische Küche angelehnt an die alte K&K Zeit, sagen wir mal noch vor Ungarn ;-) Das ganze ist eingebettet in einer alten Schloss Anlage an einem Golfplatz. Ein schöner Ort um zu verweilen und doch die Alm-Hütten bedient ein Klischee das es dort wirklich nicht gibt. Kleine Karte die es aber in sich hat. Service teilweise Aushilfen? Schwer zu sagen aber Sie waren sehr höflich aber es fehlt an den Grundlagen. Ein Teil des Betreiber Paars war an der Aussentheke, eine Absprache mit Service ist nicht immer gegeben. Beilagen Salate kamen später, weil das Dressing aus war. Nun gut ich bin zuhause etwas schneller aber das Dressing, Honig Senf war sehr gut. Salat angerichtet in einem Weckglas. Quasi als schüttel Salat. Tolle Idee. Es fehlen Kleinigkeiten aber ein Ort und tolle Gastgeber die man auf jeden Fall besuchen sollte. Danke für den schönen Mittag.

After re-opening we wanted to see if it is as good as before. The food quality is between average and good, the variety on the menu is not sufficient. Staff is friendly, but needs some more practice. Maybe it is all too new. All in all we will give it another try.

Eine Institution in Geldern mit Blick auf den Markt. Einfache Speisen handwerklich gut zubereitet in einen schlichten Ambiente aber warmen freundlicher Atmosphäre. Service sehr gut , netter Betreiber.

As a vegetarians you're still a bit lost in restaurants in this area but this restaurant was really good. It had several vegetarian dishes and even one vegan dish. I had potatoes au gratin and as a dessert the brownie. The gratin was fine as well as the brownie with tonka bean ice cream. Everything was fresh and well cooked. I thought the dessert was a bit pricey compared to the main dish. Always worth another visit.

Located inside the hotel compley this is an elegant location to celebrate something or just to enjoy a nice evening. They always offer vegetarian and vegan options. In the evening they even offer a whole vegan menu. Very nice I have to say and a bit ahead compared to the other locations in Geldern and generally in the region of Niederrhein. The only negative point is their buffet. They only recently added vegeatrian options there so I have not tried it yet and always stuck to the a la carte dishes. But my family has tried it several times and there is always something off with the food. We arrived on a Monday so the restaurant was closed. The room and bathroom were extremely clean, like new. Very comfortable bed. Squeaky floor. Basic breakfast. Extremely helpful and friendly, English speaking and knowledgable lady owner. Expensive compared to other B&B's in Germany, but it might just be the area.

The restaurant is just beside the hotel, and it's nice dressed, elegant tables. The menu is very complete, with regional and seasonal dishes, the local beer is also very good and I suggest the dark pils. I think that the Angus beef is one of the best choice, especially the seasoned one, with 28 days drying.
