I had to escape the rain and went for lunch to Café Sahne. I ordered a salad and I'm glad I did. It was nice with lots of greens and tuna. Tasted good. People seemed to enjoy to wait the tables. The interior is a little bit old fashioned.

We arrived at about 10 AM at the parking of this beautiful restaurant, the terrace at the borders of the Slinge brook overlooking the old watermill was very inviting. We took a coffee 4/5, an apple pie with cream 4/5, a tomato juice 4/5 and an omelet 4/5. The ambiance is terrific, in the clear water of the brook we discovered a 75 cm long Pike enjoying the sunshine into the water. The building is pretty renovated it is a pleasure to spend some time in the restaurant or on the terrace.

Went here because of our annual friends day! Had 4 courses and they were all just amazing. Wines were great too as well, no complaints at all. Have not been here in 5 years, but definitely need to go soon again!

My husband and I arrived last night for dinner with high expectations for this Michelin one star restaurant and things started out very well indeed. They had reserved a table outside on the veranda for us, as we requested but weren't promised, and our drinks arrived with a creative assortment of snacks on the house. There is no English menu but our waiter expertly translated it all for us and we chose our starters and main course with anticipation. A bottle of chilled white wine arrived with our starters soon after ordering and the food was as delicious as it was artfully presented. The snag came when more people arrived and things got busy and our main course order seemed to have been lost in the shuffle. We waited and waited and finally after what seemed like 30 minutes, my husband got up and found the waiter (he hadn't seen us waving to him) and asked where our order was. He apologized and said the kitchen had gotten behind but we had witnessed other tables getting their main courses when they had ordered after us. Anyway, the main course finally arrived and was excellent. We next ordered one dessert to share, never thinking we'd have to wait again for ice cream but we did, way more than we should have. By the time we left, we were very disappointed in our evening and will not return there again. We don't know if it was our waiter (he should have seen us sitting at our table with no food for so long but didn't appear to notice or check on us) or the kitchen staff that lost or mixed up our order. Anyway, lovely ambiance and food, terrible service.

Run by Croats this restaurant offers excellent food from the Balkan area. The schnitzels are great and so is the fish. The staff/owners are very friendly and service is prompt. Stopping for a good meal is always a good choice. Many Dutch travellers (the border is only ten minutes away) ave discovered this gem and enjoy the food, too. The restaurant has a covered biergarten so you can also enjoy your meal in the annex.

Wat een leuk restaurant van een super enthousiaste broer en zus. Het eten is vers en heerlijk en weer eens wat anders dan het standaard eten. Een hip plekje. Echt een aanrader!
