It is a place enjoyed by local people. Very good service and the portion of dish was big with a nice presentation. It would be better if the fish is not overcooked and various cooking methods are applied.

I ate here one evening after visiting the center of Warendorf (the piazza). I choosed a beef stake with shrimps, together with potatoes in oven. Very nice. Desert was something with creme brulee and icecream, yammy...Also the location is very interesting, clean and nice service.

Very disappointing we almost thought we had the wrong restaurant. The place was uninspiring and dull inside with tables laid out like a school dining room. ( In desperate need of updating). perhaps a liitle background music, more cheerful decor.
The elderly gentleman waiter did not seem pleased to see us.
We were presented with a plate of the most disappointing salad I have had so far in Germany. A lettuce leaf, a small portion of grated carrots and pickled cabbage, ( no tomatoes or cucumber or dressing ) and then came the shock of being presented with sachets of dressings ( thought of being in McDonalds sprung to mind), not what I expect in a restaurant.
Talking of McDonalds, everything came with french fries which seemed to have been fried twice, very hard, left mine. My partner ordered the roast liver Balkan style, ( not sure what was Balkan about it? ) slices of liver, a slice of bacon, raw onions, some rice, and yes french fries, no gravy or sauce.
The saving grace for me was that I had a nice little steak from the children's menu.
Needless to say, not a nice experience for us.

This may be a bit of an unfair revue as we went to the restaurant shortly before they were closing, although we were only looking for a take away: we didn't want to sit in.We ordered two (supposedly) Thai dishes. I wouldn't say the quality was bad but what they cooked reminded me of the typical "Asian" restaurant in Germany: If you want to make a thai dish, pour lots of chilli in and it tastes like thai...NOT! Thai cooking (which I cook lots at home) is not about just tipping chili in, but is a different style of cooking. All in all, if you advertise thai food then it SHOULD BE thai food! To be fair, I can't comment on the chinese food or the general ambiance as I haven't been there as a sit in guest. I guess this restaurant caters well for the german palate in respect of "asian " food

Don't understand how this place isn't busier, decor wonderful and spotlessly clean, we dined evening time and we both had steaks and our friends had the fish salad and lamb salad, we all gave it the thumbs up. Staff could have been a bit friendlier, but maybe we got them on a bad night, would definetly visit again.
