Started the process with a lovely lady called Wendy, who assisted in every way possible. On the day we were greeted by the friendliest security guards, signs everywhere telling us where we needed to go for Sabrina bachelorette, great photo opportunities along the way. Once we boarded The Royal Stonehaven we were all blown away at the table decor, the little prayer and note for our Bride to be. Every details was taken care off, friendly staff on board. The worlds biggest burger to ensure our tummies where satisfied. Jacuzzi on board, ashtrays for the smokers and just a really great vibe. Would highly recommend this as something different to do for any party or event. Well done Stonehaven on Vaal team.

As visitors from the Cape we were led to believe that we haven't got a Portuguese restaurant down here as good as this one. Oh dear! some of our fast food outlets are better than this. We were a large table (10 adults plus children) but they cater for plenty of people.
Prawns were in short supply (no king or queen) - tried to sell us giant tiger prawns at R190 EACH! The starters were very average - the mains were varied with the prawn curry getting first prize, the lamb shank second, and the smoked ribs a "could do better" third. However, the calamari tubes were inedible - supposedly grilled, overdone on one side and not touched on the other - I have had better shoe leather! 3 portions all uneaten but charged for. A bottle of red completely corked and sent back. In fact a very poor experience all round. Glad I live in Cape Town!

Four of us for dinner at this high end restaurant just off the casino floor inside - which by the way has undergone some good improvements recently. Restaurant is fine dining establishment with the food and wine well presented. Quality was excellent with the steaks in particular right up there.

We are regular visitors to this Ocean Basket, and I understand they recently had a management change.
Usually on busy evenings we will wait to be seated, get a table order drinks and food, and by the time the drinks are about quarter the food will arrive.
Last night we ordered our food, waited for about an hour and 45 minutes for our soggy sushi to arrive, the platter we ordered only had a marble sized ball of wasabi.
Upon checking everything we realized that there is some stuff missing, we called the waiter and she said that the pot or something was not working so they did not add it to the order.
Im not sure if his was their opening night, but i will give them a second chance.

I found the sushi very average for the price. I was expecting better after hearing great things about John Dorys. Service was also quite lacklustre with staff simply going about their day.
Rather try other places for your sushi fix.

Tonight we arrived with 20 people without making a booking. The staff quickly arranged two long tables. The waiter was professional, made some interesting suggestions and served us on his own speedily and well trained.
Again a good experience. Well done to management and staff!

This isn't a 5 star restaurant or anything close, but it is a brilliant South African pub. The prices are good & the meals are delicious & the helpings are huge. I would recommend a platter or the eisbein. Can get quite busy so make sure you arrive early or book a table.

I have never been disappointed with their food and absolutely love their hot chicken and peri peri fries. With all their healthy options everyone will be able to find something to their liking. The staff are also very friendly and the service is quick.
