We had a very interesting salad with mellon and ham.
The main dish was a but dry (partridge). we asked for it because we knew we would get something typical from the region.
Service is fast but could be "nicer".
Music selection is at spanish style. Maybe to be revised.
Decoration is warm and cosy. Very interesting.
Toillets were clean.

This is a lovely restaurant and it's reputation translates through the food. The soup was tasty and warming. The spaghetti carbonara was a delight; the flavour was great and the sauce was nice and light. The Napoli pizza had a great balance of flavours and the base was crispy yet satisfying (it wasn't a wood-fire baked pizza, so the taste isn't as you'd expect an authentic Italian pizza to have). On top of that, the staff were very welcoming and made the entire dining experience enjoyable. Would definitely recommend visiting. We'd say that it is more of a dinner place than a lunch place.

Acresce estacionamento privativo.

Wow! Had a fantastic family evening at this restaurant. We did not book and had no problem securing a table for 6. Good atmosphere and even better food. Servings are large so maybe under order. Haha.
Fantastic dessert selection too.

I have visited MANY times. Smiles, spotlessly clean, brilliant food, lots of it and a better salad bar than any I have found in Portugal. Add to that a very good price and you just can't lose!
Right on the N17 and a huge car park too. It is self-service, but I really like this as you can see exactly what you are about to eat! 5 stars aren't enough

For endless years the restaurants in this area were all the same: all have the so called typical food but with no soul at all, (bellow) average customer service and quite expensive regarding the price/quality ratio.
Nowadays this is different thanks to the Gandiço Restaurant. The food can be described as honest Portuguese food with a modern touch and is served in generous portions (it is an absolute try the wild mushroom appetizer and the chocolate cake desert - but you can, and should, also go for everything else!). The place is completely new and well-conceived. The staff is really friendly and kind even being composed by really young people. All of this makes an entire warm atmosphere and good experience!
BTW, I have tried the restaurant both at lunch (executive menu) and dinner time (à la carte, as I was staying at the hotel - please have a look at my other review) and the service and quality are exactly the same as expected.
Good job guys!
The Good: good traditional food, friendly staff and a warm atmosphere
The Bad: there is really nothing to notice
