The municipality includes the offshore islands of Skorpios (pop. 2 persons) and Sparti. The municipality has an area of 22.356 km. Its total population was 1,041 at the 2011 census.

Lovely spot by the harbour for genuine homemade Greek food, fabulous gigandes, tzatziki, fresh fish and more. Friendly and helpful owners who also run the best supermarket in town next door. Their homemade orange cake is to die for. Really a very lovely place. Along with Erikkos and Marinata, by far the best places to eat in Vathi!

Excellent, traditional Greek food cooked to perfection probably the best pork souvlaki ever and the aubergines were heavenly. Great service especially if you arrive by yacht, they even have study well made steps that make the bows to mooring easier the gentlemen who took our lines and brought us steps was not happy until he had stabilised the steps with little wooden wedges to make sure they were totally level a great stop if sailing in the south Ionian.

Great place to eat if you like fresh sea food - the sea bass parcel is lovely as is the fresh tuna. Service is friendly but you need to book. We tried to get a table but we were told all the tables were reserved. The restaurant sat pretty empty for almost 2 hours as the tables were booked for 7:00pm but the guests didn't show up until around 9:00pm!! Doesn't seem like very good business sense as they were turning lots of people away. When you get a table though the food is great and it is a lovely romantic setting Definitely worth a visit.

Although this appears to be mainly a pizzeria, don't be fooled, the menu includes traditional Greek food too and the quality and quantity provided are excellent. George is very proud of his cooking skills and is very welcoming and accommodating - willing to oblige with requests where possible and given adequate notice. We enjoyed his kleftiko, stifado, shrimps a la grecque, gigantes, fish and briam which he prepared especially for us on request. It was all freshly cooked and beautifully presented.

Wandered into this restaurant just to see what the views were like from the Terrace as opposed to an adjacent,larger restaurant with similar views,(the staff there appeared indifferent.)
It was towards the end of season, so very quiet but the couple who run the restaurant were very friendly and soon rustled up some surprisingly good food washed down with good inexpensive wine.This restaurant is small, simply furnished ,but worth the visit and is excellent value for money.

9 people dined on amazing fresh seafood of all varieties plus traditional meet dishes and excellent vegetables and salads. Ask for the daily specials as these will surprise and delight you. The family know how to look after customers and we came away feeling very spoiled and very full. Excellent value - a must go to restaurant in Vathy.

Coming ashore here is an experience - unique landing stage, just make sure to use the steps to the west of the quay! Food and Greek music/dancing very good. And value for money. Family operated, mama cooks and the others make you welcome. Excellent choice of fresh fish, meats, vegetables, salads and all the special Greek food specialties. All of this for around €12 per person including wine. Amazing. There are many great choices for food in Vathy but this one is excellent!

This has to have one of the best locations on Meganisi but the service lets it down badly I'm afraid. The owner watched as 4 of us arrived for lunch, used the toilet and sat and waited for a waiter to come and take our order and promptly went to another table of people who had arrived after us. We will not be returning, shame as I say, the location is stunning. I think the owner is well aware of this so appears not bothered as there will always be another boat along. Needs to take lessons from some other restaurants on this beautiful island.

I stopped for coffee and some fast food, didn't have much time. There were some 20 people on the Terrace overlooking the bay (Spilia, the port of Partochori). Beautiful! I had to wait for quite some time to place the order. There was only one waiter, struggling with large glasses of cold beer handed out to thirsty people in the heat! Finally I was served and asked for the bill. Waited and waited, was obviously forgotten. Went to him and paid. He apologized. Was a nice guy. Ought to be helped by somebody - the proprietors, take note, please!

Super restaurant in a great setting. Large menu offering pizzas, italianish dishes and Greek dishes. The food is presented and served nicely with lots of choice for everyone. Lovely attentive staff and very friendly owner.
