Ordinary visitor needs at least a day and archeologists a week. All kinds of ruins are in the central part, mainly from antique times, some are even older. Main part is preserved, some neglected. Different churches and mosques are all around. A line of small museums and reconstructed houses (from different periods) are at the top of the old town. They are good for visit even in cold or rainy time. Top attraction is old, partly reconstructed Greek theater, interesting is pedestrian zone with a stadium under the street. You can visit an old basilica with mosaics.

We visited the exterior only as we were traveling with an infant. In early November we were the only people there (one other car arrived as we left) and it was cold. Huge icicles hung from the building and occasionally fell - watch out. Although we didn't enter, we saw the opening to get into the basement via a rope into the darkness. We saw no signs of security monitoring.
We arrived from the north and left to the south. The southern access road is MUCH better, but the northern one is passable without a 4WD despite advice from another reviewer. Having said that, I'd be reluctant to drive the northern road if it were covered in snow, there are thousands of potholes and they'd be hard to see in that case.
This site isn't for everyone, but we found it hugely atmospheric and the views from the top of the hill are great. Very glad we took the detour!

From the outside the 15th century 'Rozhdestvo Hristovo' (Nativity) church in Arbanasi looks almost like a barn. But once inside the about 5 complicatedly arranged rooms one is quickly overwhelmed by the richness and quality of the many wall paintings.with scenes from the Old and New Testament, but also of ancient Greek philosophers, done in the 17th century.
A visit to the church is included in the 20 BGN two-days combined ticket for 10 museums (20 BGN). A separate entrance is otherwise 6 BGN. Photography is not allowed inside. Outside there are a few souvenir stalls.

Burgas sea garden is very well kept by the municipality, areas are clean. There are many Fountains and green spaces. Of course the view is beautiful as the sea garden itself is a bit higher than the beach because of the denivelation, I.e. you can see the horizon from high perspective which is very nice.
It feels good to be there. There are not too many restaurants and cafes there.

The fortress is located at the top of the town and right under Belogradchik Roks, giving it wonderful setting and views.The road up there is very good and there are indicators to the monument. Once you get there, you will find parking lots, souvenir shops and even a Magura Winery shop, selling local wines. Be careful to have the local currency, as they do not have a POS.

Recently renovated this church in and out is beautiful. Gold and painting everywhere. A peaceful courtyard with seats, grape vines a drinking Fountain and covered area.
The gold domed roof is amazing. The bell struck on the hour is seriously loud and the locals love to watch the tourists jump.
It's worth the walk but come via the beach and enjoy the views.

No doubt that the scenery there is stunning as the journey from Bansko up to the hut was through a heavily wooded area. We could not leave the car however due to an invasion of flies that literally covered the windscreen as we pulled up.. Such a shame..

I'm not sure (as I haven't visited all the churches in Nessebar), but this one is looking the biggest, with some kind of a small churchyard. You have to pay about 6BGN/person to enter. There you can also buy a single ticket for visiting all other churches in Nessebar.
The church itself is ancient and beautiful - have a look at the pics.

This is a beautiful area with some very rustic looking buildings, I had my camera out all day around here because of how nice it was. Word of warning, some shop owners are very rude, in fact its mostly the shop owners that sell Nazi memrobillia that were rude.

The Sea Garden is the best place for walking in Varna.
It is about 4 km long. Here you can stroll, exercise or have some coffee in one of the numerous pubs.
The Beaches along the sea garden attract thousands of people during the summer months.
