Fazenda Paraiso Atibaia

Despite the safari-like drive down the hole-filled dirt road in the middle of nowhere, the restaurant is awesome! It's a secret-gem. Delicious food, good price (its all you can eat), great service, clean and creative, with a location that is wonderful. There's a lake, animals, and hammocks (pay an extra 15 Reis each for the boats and pool *pool's only for kids*). Now it's better to make a reservation if you plan to go, since it's becoming more known. Delicious and relaxing!

1ª, 2ª, 3ª e 4ª entradas
1º e 2º pratos principais
sobremesa
finalização (café coado ou chá)
Excelente carta de vinhos
Do caldinho de recepção a finalização, tudo umpecável, vale a pena conferir.

The location "o Velhão" is around 30 min distant from São Paulo, at Santa Inês Road 3000 in the city of Mairiporã. Is a complex of brick-made buildings with wood, materials from demolished houses. There are a restaurant (As Veias) with 8 lounges, coffee shop, souvenirs, liquoer of fruits and much more. The staff is nice and helpful. The food is an amazing representative of Brazilian country side cuisine, with generous buffet balcon. Lovely place. Recommended for family and romantic meetings.

Paguei o justo somente.
Telhado pingando no meio do restaurante.
Música ao vivo muito alta e repetitiva... Não dá nem para conversar.
Deprimente...

Mercearia Do Prosa

This restaurant is a discovery in Mairiporã, between the city and the highland. All in brick and old wood, the entrance has a unmistakable 3-floor wooden house, with a small parking lot. The main meal (rice and bean) was the Brazilian country food, all were prepared in wood burning stove. Fried chicken, rice balls, meat in potato were fantastic. Grilled "picanha" and chicken fillet can be ordered a la carte. In the same all you can eat buffet, the salad was delicious, all with organic ingredients, needs only few addition of oil and salt according to your taste. You can have your meal inside the rustic part of the restaurant or in some of tables located in the open area, below the trees and with the company of bird song and hummingbirds. The restaurant is pet-friendly, adopts a policy against food waste, and accepts payment with credit cards. There is espresso and some traditional Brazilian desserts for finishing your pleasant experience. The best part, after all these amenities and generous food, the price was just a bargain of R$ 17.90 per person (till Saturday). Simply an adorable place to go with family, friends and peers. Unforgetable, unhurried meal near to São Paulo. Highly recommended! However, I heard that on Sundays the place becomes quite crowded, with long queues and slow service. So, plan your visit!

Cozy and relaxing restaurant serving mainly cod fish in Portuguese style. Start ordering some fried cod fish balls before sitting inside one of the rustic but comfortable lounges (all in dark wood and bricks). Lots of dense vegetation from the large windows, to have quietly a delicious lunch far from the everyday's rush of big metropolis. During week days they offer the day menu (salad, main course, dessert) for a reasonable price. Many choices of cod fish (Gomes de Sá, Nata, potato in "murro" style etc) and beef steak are the main course. The creme brulée was cold but scented. All dishes are graciously adorned in blue and white, made from Monte Sião, Minas Gerais. Then, finish your meal with an "espresso" Treviolo. My only complaint is that there was only a waiter for serving all the tables, so don't expect a very efficient service. There was a family with a toddler crying and screaming, making a unpleasant noisy to the wonderful atmosphere with Portuguese "fados" as background music. The food was not top refined, but well above the average. Simply an adorable place to go, to visit, to spend some pleasant meal. I loved it, very good experience.

Vale a visita! E agora quero visitar para saborear as pizzas a noite.

Located in a spacious house in the Igapó mall of the highland Mairiporã, you can find easily sushi and sashimis of your choice there. The menu is short, with some day specials. Good ingredients and kind service. Just an average Japanese restaurant. Fair price. I am not impressed by the quality or the ambiance, but it is a good alternative when you climb to Mairiporã.
