Located on Ilha do Mel next to the lighthouse of the Shells, Ilha do Mel Café operates for 16 years in the same place. The ambiance is rustic, warm and cozy decorated with paintings by local painters, Murano vases and liana crafts. We serve special coffees and we have the only espresso machine on the whole island so we have cappuccinos and mochas besides delicious pies like cheesecake and the famous Maracolate (Maracuja (passion fruit) mousse with melted chocolate). From hot dishes we serve spaghetti and a wide variety of pastries, sandwiches and other delicacies.

Simple and unpretentious place with an amazing atmosphere. The food is good, nothing special, but is a very good value for money. It is situated in one of the most traditional Inns of the island.

Thru Guide du routard advice , we have been in this restaurant. We choose a commercial plate which is a mixte of fish with French fries, red beans, and rice with différent kind of dips. It was the best restaurant that I ve done since I m in Brazilia.
We were very welcoming and waiters were very kindly with us. I could recommend this place for those who want to enjoy a nice lunch in a Nice area therefore the price is definitively cheapper than what we could have in other cities.

We went here to celebrate and it was a great success!
The starter of calamares was very good, with different sauses - huge portion!
The paella was really delicious, as was the moqueca. Portions are all huge.
We took the caipirinha mineira (with special cachaça) and it was the best we've had in the whole of Brazil!

O melhor sushi do litoral Paranaense. Quem reclama da demora não sabe nada o Amor e carinho que eles colocam em cada prato. No inverno até manta vc recebe para se aquecer. Super meigos os donos. Vale a pena parar para conferir. Uhulll logo colamos por ai di novo!

Discovering Shams was a pretty nice experience. The musicians that were playing the nights we were in the island were really great! The bar suggests R$ 2 as couvert for their service, which is totally worth it. Besides that, the menu is pretty nice - you can have seafood appetizers, but also burgers and fries and some arabic dishes (homus with pita bread and shawarma). I really enjoyed the falafel shawarma and the Cheddar burger (we went there two nights in a row).

Ate a lot of seafood along with pizzas and pastels here. Great selection and awesome muqueca. The serving is HUGE though.

Fizemos 2 refeições neste restaurante. Em ambas não tivemos o que reclamar quanto ao ambiente, atendimento dos garçons e pratos. Nossa hospedagem na Ilha foi em meio de semana em meados de setembro 2017. Numa das noites pedimos uma pizza (8 pedaços – R$40,00) que veio bem rápido, boa massa e com recheio satisfatório e num dos almoço seguimos a sugestão do garçom que nos indicou filé de pescada grelhado. Como não quisemos os camarões que acompanhavam o prato foi adicionado mais peixe. Porção farta e bom paladar. Neste caso houve mais demora em receber o prato, embora o restaurante estivesse vazio. A taxa de 10% sobre o serviço foi cobrada em todos os restaurantes que frequentamos na Ilha.

By far the best restaurant I have ever been in the island! The sushi is delicious and the risotto was awesome! The juices were great and drinks perfect! We ate there the whole time couldn't go anywhere else! We were addicted!!
