D 'Oude Clipper is a warm and atmospheric restaurant with a maritime feel and a self-evident hospitality, making you feel right at home. The restaurant accommodates about 96 guests. A delicious aperitif can be drunk at the bar, or in our Clipper, where you feel like a captain on the ship. We also offer our restaurant for weddings, parties and buffets. Please contact us for thepossibilities. Our restaurant is French oriented with some Mediterranean influences. Our dishes are prepared traditionally and with great care . Did you know that we have a homarium with fresh lobster and oysters every day. Our wine list is very varied, several wine countries are represented.

The welcome couldn't be warmer and that's just the start. Excellent service supported truly excellent food. We both agreed that, if we lived here, this would be a weekly visit for us. Tasty, well cooked, hot (not 'sitting there for five minutes' warm) and plentiful, we both had excellent meals. Highly recommended.

Excellent coffee. Good service. Glass screens protect one from any cold winds. Wonderful place to enjoy the sun for most of the day. Two minutes stroll to the wonderful sands. Friendly faces. Whilst the German language holds sway for foriegn guests, Russian is now being heard, a smattering of Polish and for any UKIP type Brit don't be afraid the lovely waitresses speak English without a fault. In fact close your eyes and you could be on the other side of the North Sea.

We regularly have a bite to eat here. Situated on the beach, this restaurant with large Terrace, offers very nice little bites to est and lunches. Didn't have dinner here yet. Staff are usually friendly and service is quick. The food is nice, no 'haute cuisine', but still very enjoyable! Better than most beach-restaurants.

We had several good breakfast here. Be aware that they only open at 10 am, so if you are an early riser, it won't work. The 12.5 euro breakfast formula is really good.

I was returning from a hard day's work in Zaandan and was willing to settle down. I was staying in a hotel nearby and walked from there to downtown looking for a nice place to eat, preferably on the seashore and ideally for seafood.
A warm welcome to start with and then we exchanged some nice memories from France.
Dinner was good in quality and quantity and overall was a very nice experience.

Although it was very cold, we could enjoy a lunch outside in the bright wintersun. We took the 'twaalfuurtje' having soup, a kroket Sandwich and a salmon Sandwich. It was really good, well priced and the service was prompt and OK. Only downside was the cup of tea that costed more than 3 euro.

We had breakfast, lunch and dinner in this restaurant and never were dissapointed. The quality of the food and and ambiance is above average. Still the prices where quite reasonable despite of the excellent location.

Restaurant het Zeepaardje complete modernized their restaurant , kitchen this year.
The friendly , excellent service and high cooking standards remained but everything looks more modern.
We had Grilled Tarbot which was unbelievably good.
If you are ever in Egmond aan Zee , I strongly recommend that you have dinner there.
