Bottle Distillery artisanally prepares gin, bierbrand, vodka and liqueurs on a small-scale. The distillery is located in the center of Eindhoven, in the old 'Schellensfabriek'. You are very welcome to come and meet our potstill with its copper helmet. In our tasting room you can try our products: pure or in one of our specially selected mixes. There is a little shop where you can buy our products. You can arrange a visit, tour, tasting or workshop on any day and time. Just mail or call us for an appointment. On Fridays and Saturdays the distillery, tasting room and shop is also open without appointment, from 13.00 till 22.00 hours

Booked the basic tour which cost around €11. We were given a brief introduction as to how Bottle Distillery was born. The distillery was set-up and is run by a lovely couple who have a passion for what they do. Mark and his wife have created a unique attraction that is part-distillery and part-bar. The 'still' is the most beautiful piece of aparatus and is captivating to watch as you get a talk on how it all works. Really amazing piece of kit! But the proof is in the pudding, which brings us to the product which comes out of the still. They produce a selection of gorgeous Gins (the Winter Gin being my personal favorite. So much flavor!). The Beer Brandy and liqueurs are amazing. The tour included a tasting of any 3 from their product line, which we felt was generous. The tour stated 30 minutes, but we spent a total of 90 minutes with a lovely Gin & Tonic beforehand and sipping the samples after the tour. Wonderful establishment and I'd highly recommend. Easily the best €11 I've ever spent. Looking forward to seeing Orion Gin in the UK in a few years ;) Keep up the good work guys!

The first place that I visited in Eindhoven was museum. For fans that would be like heaven. The museum is filled with videos from the begining till now, historic pictures and portrays and newspapers, the iconic and memorable stuff from their players, championship cups and rewards. I just needed english info which were not always available but I think if I used that app that would be helpful.

I learned a lot of Philips and Einhoven (Eindhoven essentially was Philips and lots of housing for the workers, together with the shops and entertainment for them) history visiting the Philips museum, which starts behind a black velvet curtain, in the dark, to give us an impression of how weak the light of the first carbon filament lamp from the end of the 19th century was. Having acquired expertise in working with glass, metal, vacuum in glass, they branched out producing radiology tubes, first to to keep Dutch hospitals and docs supplied with such equipment during WW I German factories were destroyed so no new roentgen tubes available, later on radio tubes, after WW II black and white Television tubes. Later on color tv, TL tubes, halogen lamps, folded TL tubes to make energy saving lamps, LED lamps, medical echography, CT scanners, MRI scanner, the world’s first combined PET-CT scanner, the medical equipment nowadays the main trust of their present day research and production, their lighting devision where it all started with put up for sale.

This play area is located outside the city center, but still within the city limits. It's a large outdoor area but does also have some sheltered Seating. Kids will love this place. we've been here on several place and it's one of those places you keep coming back to. It's also often used to combine it with a picnic. It's a great place. Parking is a little limited as it is located in a residential area. To top it all of: It's free.

Go back to bygone times and discover how the first farmers went about their work, what the Romans did while they were here or how you would go hunting in prehistoric times. Get into conversation with a war-like Batavian at one of the monthly changing workshops , or make fire, a Roman coat of arms or an amulet. “Fantastic, you experience history in the making. Great not only for the kids but also worthwhile for adults!” , commented Maaike, an enthusiastic previous visitor. In addition to families with children, many expats also visit the Prehistoric Village. It’s probably the only museum in the Netherlands where you’re allowed to get dirty. Today was our first experience with the Pre Historisch Dorp. It is a really great afternoon activity for the kids and parents. The actors in the village are well-informed and entertaining and there are many games and activities for both the kids and adults to do. For example, you can perform archery, bake bread on a stick, take a canoe ride on an ancient canoe, etc. Lunch is also quite good and easy for the kids. We highly recommend visiting this village. They accept the Museum Card also. Expect to spend about 2-3 hours here.

A nice combination of modern and traditional art, although it's more focused on the modern side. It's a nice building, great example of combining the old with the new. The staff all seemed very pleasant. 12 euros entry fee is slightly expensive in my mind, but it's also possible to visit for free on Tuesday afternoons between 15.00 and 17.00, just about enough time to see everything!. Nice to visit a museum that isn't overly crowded(people I mean).

Fascinating surroundings and clearly popular with locals. The restaurant's lunch menu centres on soups, open sandwiches, pancakes and burgers but is none the worse for that. I had an absolutely excellent open Sandwich of black pudding, baked apple and balsamic/honey glaze. Excellent!
