Donetsk Oblast (Ukrainian: Доне́цька о́бласть, Donets'ka oblast', also referred to as Donechchyna, Ukrainian: Донеччина Donechchyna, Russian: Доне́цкая о́бласть, Donetskaya oblast [dɐˈnʲɛtskəjə ˈobɫəsʲtʲ]) is an oblast (province) of eastern Ukraine. It is the most populated oblast, with around 4.5 million residents. Its administrative center is Donetsk; however, its Regional State Administration was temporarily relocated to Mariupol because of the ongoing crisis in Donetsk. Historically, the region is an important part of the Donbas region. Until November 1961, it bore the name Stalino Oblast as Donetsk was then named "Stalino", in honour of Joseph Stalin.

Everything here corresponds with the high level of the hotel: good service, excellent food, good wine, pleasant atmosphere.
I have been there at least four times and will certainly come again.
There is only one minus - waiters are not very good in english, which makes it quite difficult sometimes to get alone with foreigners. Though I bet this problem is temporary and quite possible to fix.
Good lobby-bar! I like design and service, though I liked it more with the lounge or chill-out music played. Now they have a DJ playing and it got too noisy in the bar. Conversation became not possible there, you have to shout.

When visiting Donetsk for the first time, I had a dinner with business partners there. Food was pretty good: duck trotters were particularly good, beef carpaccio and pasta with lamb didn't disappoint either. Service was good, even that somewhat slow. Design-wise maybe not the best example ever but nice, plain, simple.

Just stopped by this pub for lunch. Food quality was mediocre, not truly fresh or house made, and service was perfunctory at best. Fine place to stop for a quick beer. Have been on two different occasions to the Golden Lion Pub, which is a short walk down Artema street, across from Lenin Square, and found it superior in all ways. Truly fresh, house made food, excellent service and a wide variety of beers on draft.

I like this restaurant because good food , good service, very nice tables, tablecloth, a good selection of food, and excellent desserts. Most important very quiet even when full, so you can discuss business without screaming. A definite plus for me.

" Hughes brewery" - perhaps the biggest restaurant in the Donetsk region . Total number of seats places - 700 (450 seats - 3 floor restaurant and 3 levels of outdoor area - 250 seats ) . Some tables are equipped with personal pouring beer taps with counters , which visitors can enjoy yourself .
European cuisine . 6 beers " Pilsner " - a light lager , "Porter " - dark, " Amber " - Amber , " Golden El " - Belgian-style , " Stout " - and in angliyskomstile " Weissbier " - wheat . Large selection of beer snacks .

Had some wonderful eclaires and coffee during a random visit to this cafe. Very attentive service and selection of various treats combined with fresh and classy interior made our experience very fulfilling.
Mariupol is not your usual touristic spot, however providing high quality leisure spots is crucial for tourist development and Hleb Du Solei is definitely such a spot!

Get a reservation - even for lunch. No English menu, but wait staff is very helpful. The salmon is the best ever. All the dishes in this Egyptian themed, cozy place are tasty and fresh. We will return - again and again.

Этот ресторан находится в самом центре города,на бульваре Пушкина.Приходилось бывать здесь пару-тройку раз.Что очень удобно,что находится не далеко от Облсовета,рядом с главным бульваром города и даже иногородним удобно рассказать,где он находится.Что больше всего запомнилось в этом ресторане,его "фишка" - одесский колорит,интерьер -все от туалетных комнат,где лежит мыло еще времен Советского союза до интерьера основного зала с чемоданами и газетами той же эпохи.А главное все время,когда вы находитесь в ресторане,к каждому столу подходит парень,еврейской внешности и рассказывает разные анекдоты и байки,с характерным одесским говором.Вообщем атмосфера и интерьер располагает к отдыху и повышает настроение.Из блюд заказывали борщ,котлеты с пюре,венегрет,форшмак,голубцыс мясом.Брали разливное пиво и водку,пару их фирменных салатов- название уже не помню.Все очень вкусно,вообщем молодцы и цена средняя по городу.
