Breda had a population of 183,456 in 2017; the metropolitan area had a population of 324,812. It is part of the Brabantse Stedenrij.

This cozy cafe, with indoor and terrace dining, is located on Veemarktstraat, near the market square in Breda. Their specialty - tostis! A tosti is similar to the French 'croque monsieur' - 2 slices of bread, with fillings between, toasted or grilled. A delicious 'toasted sandwich', great for a light meal or snack.Here you'll find mouth-watering tostis served by friendly staff. Their eye-catching, unique menu stands out. They offer a wide choice of tosti fillings (both savoury and sweet), different types of bread and sauces, hot and cold beverages as well as dessert. Further, they offer vegan tostis (a plus for vegans and those looking for a vegetarian alternative). Personally, I enjoyed their chicken tex-mex wholemeal bread tosti served with sliced cucumber on the side accompanied by truffle mayonnaise sauce. A crunchy crust on the outside with flavourful fillings - definitely a temping treat. Helpful staff, nice atmosphere. An interesting feature is their tosti cellar/basement. Guests will find swings for those who want to try a different type of seating. Its a trendy cool modern café, a bit hipster probably, friendly staff and they don't give you the feeling 'order another coffee or leave' Lunch is good, nice pies. But I come here especially when I want good coffee and read something or draw sketches.

I did nt realize from the name of this resto that it caters lebanese food.The name By Roots -sory -did not ring a bell. no subtitles.Food was good but apparently involves a lot of explaining at the table. some may need this rational approach but i'd rather smell and taste and savour and enjoy. Later may sk about ingrediënts i need to .....In other words - its hard headwork to be a guest in this place.
