If you are traveling on the highway A 7 between Hamburg and Hanover and looking for good traditional German food, you should not miss Wirtshaus Sauer. The meals are great, the service courteous and the prices fair. And if you want to, you can even book a room in the hotel.

Having booked for 8pm we were seated but kept waiting for service for well over 20 minutes. We pointed this out to our host and he directly took over serving us in a timely manner and took our orders, brought the drinks and outstanding meals. Generous portions of delicious Greek cuisine that was well worth our time. Then he delighted us with gratis desserts and ouzo just to make sure we had had a memorably pleasing evening.

The owner was so kind to hear our requests, though her English is not good. My German friends recommended a mix of Greek grills, and I found it was so large and very delicious. They played Greek music and interiors are the mixture of Greek and German style. Visit here when you miss Greek foods or Grills !

Second visit in my two week holiday visiting family ( my mother is from Hildesheim) and just as good as always. Great Greek food in a fine restaurant with attentive yet unobtrusive staff, very friendly and helpful. Recommend the Giros and Souvlaki both of which are as good as I have ever tasted.

Not a big fan of Greek food, but the Musaka was amazing. Really supersized portions, with a complimentary Ouzo to wash it down!Great location, great service, nice personnel!Highly recommended.

Das Alexandros ist zu recht das beliebteste Restaurant im beschaulichen Bad Salzdetfurth. Die Karte ist breit, die Speisen sind lecker zubereitet und man wird familiär aufgenommen. Reservierung ist zu empfehlen!
