De varkens die buiten rondlopen zijn de moeite van het bekijken waard: dat vlees moet wel anders smaken dan van een doorsnee zwijn.Op een mooie zondagmiddag is het zowel binnen als buiten druk. De bediening komt op ons onprofessioneel en ongeïnteresseerd over. In ieder opzicht lijkt deze zaak meer op een restaurant uit de middeleeuwen, dan een strak georganiseerde horeca organisatie. Dit rommeltje heeft echter zijn eigen charme. Wie calorieën te kort komt en moet aansterken is hier aan het juiste adres. De eigenaar is reclame voor de zaak: het is hier goed eten! Ein Mann ohne Bauch ist ein Krüppel, Oder? De pannenkoek is uitstekend klaargemaakt en de carpaccio smaakt heel goed. Heengaan dus!

We had so much fun at this location. The food is excellent. One person in our group has allergies, and the entire staff worked very hard to serve him a great meal two times that did not affect his allergies. Their beers also pleased us. We tried a couple of their local brews. The buffet for the wedding reception was plentiful and well presented. Everything I had was good. There were over 100 people seated for the meal, and no one was crowded. Just a really fun place to go for either casual or special dining.

Excellent food, great atmosphere. The restaurant was packed when we decided to pop in on a Saturday evening. Had main course and desserts with some wine - everything was delicious. Service was very attentive and kind! Reservation recommended since the restaurant had to turn back some clients without a reservation that evening. Seemed to be very popular in the area.

Big-Big disapointment... When all the guests have the same vegetables with almost all the dishes and the menu is numbered like a chinees restaurant because he is too hudge... Than it's time to ask yourself where I'm? Tapas are ridiculous expensive for almost fake 'fresh' ingredients served de with cheap sweet curry mayo from the supermarket! Is this portuguese? I made my choice for the "Free style fish menu"... What a bad décision! Filet of sole too cooked and too salty, served with the same supermarket sweet mayo and no trace of a quarter of lemon... Unbelievable ! The main course exactly on the same way. So after visiting Nordhorn sinds 30 years, there is definitively no gastronomic restaurants in town. This kind of restaurant will not stay more than 3 month in Brussels or Paris. Sad-sad-sad! Chef Michel

This 'snackbar' has a good choice of real German food. We took a schnitzel, which was so big it almost didn't fit on our plate, and a large currywurst. The fries were too salty, but the rest was good. Personally I appreciated the very clean toilets. The whole restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. Enough free parking possibilities. As it is so close to the dutch border they speak dutch and german.

Am 30.04.1981 eröffnete die Familie Heggemann in Neuenhaus-Veldhausen. Im Laufe der Jahre wurde immer weiter an- oder umgebaut.Eine schöne Gartenterrasse wurde vergröÃert, dann überdacht und bietet jetzt bis zu 25 Personen Platz. Im Garten, vor der Terrasse können noch einmal 25 Gäste gemütlich im Sommer bei einem schön gekühlten Pils ihre freie Zeit genieÃen. Ich war schon sehr oft mit Freunden und/oder damaligen Arbeitskollegen zu Gast bei den Heggemann`s und habe jedes mal sehr lecker gegessen. Von mir ganz klar der Daumen hoch.
