Found the food to be great and not badly priced. It was busy for a Thursday lunch but still a table was found. The service is friendly and shall deffinitly be going back there again. Tuesday night is steak night and good value for money.

Brilliant set menu with intricate and astonishing bits and pieces. Charming attention,particularly la Patronne but wine included in menu was not pleasing. Four glasses of run of the mill wine for sixty euros added on menu for two is not on. Otherwise great. But you pay for it.

We discovered the decouverte in their new location: very open and full of light.A correct welcome by the hostess.We have taken the lunch menu with four people.There was enough time between the different menu courses, which were all light and very tasty. Do not expect to come to the edge filled bowls but they will serve you delicious and excellent dishes!The only downside was that there was a lot of wind in the place we had. Whatever the reason for this, we have not been able to find out.Otherwise nothing but praise for both the restaurant and the kitchen.

We stopped here after an exceptional tour of WW1 sites. It's located directly on the main square. We were able to secure an outside table, and while the patio area eventually became very crowded, service was still quick and able.Good beer menu and food options ranged well outside the typical Flemish bistro fare of carbonnade and waterzooi. When I saw pig's cheeks with a beer gravy on the menu, I was surprised as it stood out on a fairly ambitious tapas/bar menu (compared to most menus posted at other restaurants in the area). It was an excellent choice, very tender and flavorful. My wife had the half chicken with mushroom sauce and was very satisfied with the crispy skin and moist meat. Fries were served in a paper cone and were well prepared, crispy on the outside, fluffy within.Prices were very fair. The service staff, while young, were pros. Les Halles Marktplace is an excellent choice for an informal meal while in Ypres.

We called here after a poor experience at nearby Vivaldi. They were closing as we had tried earlier without a reservation. ( reservation essential) The wonderful owner offered us âFlemish stew â was available as kitchen had closed. The stew was âmelt in the mouthâ gorgeous, tasty and accompanied by fresh cooked chips fresh salad and bread. Staff were warm, friendly and despite closing shortly our meal was relaxed. I would recommend this and book to avoid disappointment. Well done team you were fantastic! Dearest customer, thank you so much for this amazing review The chef closed the kitchen 15 minutes before you arrived. I don't know why but when I told you we were closed, i felt like sadness inside. Sometimes you stumble upon a truly hidden gem. This is one of them. The restaurant is located in the woods of Zonnebeke, away from all the touristy-business that Ieper (Ypres) often brings. It has a small, but excellent menu card, a cosy atmosphere and above all, superb food and warm and welcoming staff.

We ate here for lunch as part of the Superbreak tour of Flanders Fields and had a super lunch of Passendale cheese, ham, salad and bread, all fresh and very tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed by all on our table. The staff are efficient and friendly, the bar restaurant decor lovely and would recommend when visiting this area.
