Be aware that the staff speak virtually no English. We managed to understand the menu and ask the waitress questions since we speak a little French and German, and the waitress spoke some German. We enjoyed our meal and the waitress' willingness to answer our questions! We made a reservation and definitely recommend making a reservation since the tables were almost all reserved on this Saturday.

We were fortunate to stay at the hotel for a business meeting. Each evening, we had cocktails on the side patio. The staff was professional and courteous and never made us wait for service. The dinners were delicious...our second evening's meal we had a lovely foie gras appetizer, wonderfully prepared salmon, and for dessert, an amazing ice cream parfait. Breakfast was served promptly every morning, and included meats and cheeses, along with the usual French petit dejeuner of bread, croissants, juice and coffee. Servers were happy to bring us additional food items, such as scrambled eggs.

Not too far off the Grand Rue, this restaurant had some of the best food in Haguenau. Its downside is the limited menu and no options (fixed price and only two different menus). We were there for lunch and the soup and duck were outstanding. We came back a couple of days later for dinner and the sauces were very similar to the previous day and many of the ingredients were also but in different combinations. The quality of the food and the presentation were both excellent as were the wine selections to accompany the food.

We had excellent food for a most reasonable price. Portions are that big that you have to be a real good eater to manage them. The selection on the menu is not extraordinary, which means they focus on quality. Staff is charming and helpfulBonjour malgré notre anglais catastrophique merci pour votre avis qui nous conforte dans notre mission , vous faire passer de bon moments gustatifs dans le pays de la gastronomie!

I was introduced to this restaurant by a friend who has been going here for years. I was amazed at the quality and creativity of the food. The chef has managed to keep the best of traditional food and add his own signature style so that's it's fresh and unique. I am a frequent patron of high end restaurants in Strasbourg (for work) and have been disappointed that the tastes are so similar. This is definitely not the case at the Auberge, and the ambiance is fantastic. The owner is warm, interesting and has lots of stories to tell about the restaurant which has been in her family for generations. My favorite restaurant by far.

By chance and good luck we found this charming place before leaving France. Perfect cod served with its tasty jus and interesting oyster leaf. Meat was to die for and incredible appetizers and cookies will be remembered. Service and decor charming. We had a great lunch , informal local traditional restaurant with focus on great food. Try the Alsace specialités in combination with the local wines. Dessert ask for the homemade chocolade tarte with fresh fruits. Only 5 min from the shopping center.

Quality of meal and service was outstanding. This restaurant apparently gets few Americans, so we were assigned the waitress who speaks passable English. The room was beautiful, the food and wine were delicious. This is a very elegant restaurant, but the wait staff was gracious and not stuffy at all. The owner visited our tale twice to make sure we were satisfied with our meal, and recommended some of her favorite wine merchants on the Wine Road outside of Colmar. Probably the best meal of our France trip.
