Hier gehen wir definitiv nicht wieder hin. Erst einmal über 1 Stunde auf das Essen gewartet und dann hat auch noch ein komplettes Essen gefehlt. Dieses wurde auch nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen nicht gebracht. Es kam zum Schluss eine lapidare Entschuldigung. Angeblich hat die Bedienung es vergessen zu bestellen und dann auch nicht gesehen, dass ein Gast ohne Essen am Tisch gesessen hat. Bei der zweiten Variante soll der Koch Mist gemacht haben. Keine Ahnung, aber hier gehen wir definitiv nicht wieder hin.

I have stayed at the Cap Polonio on many occasions over the past ten years.It is a typical family run German hotel.The rooms although spacious are comfortable and impeccably clean. The hotel borders a large park and is well within walking distance of the Pinneberg Station.There are a number of aspects that makes this hotel unique.The staff is friendly and more than helpful. They all speak English, if that is important to you, and they are extremely helpful. For example I usually have to leave the hotel to catch a flight to London at four thirty in the morning. On every occasion the night desk clerk arranges breakfast without being asked and on one occasion when I was running behind time he packed a lunch that I could eat on the way to the airport in the taxi.On another occasion when trying to confirm a flight a staff member went into the kitchen to get the chef to resolve a computer problem.The hotel restaurant Roiin is outstanding. Having travelled throughout Germany once or twice a year over the past thirty years I can honestly say Rolin is easily the hotel best dining room I have been in anywhere in Germany. The chef who is a member of the family that owns the hotel is amazing, every item on the menu is memorable. It is worth a trip from Hamburg to try the restaurant.In short this is an outstanding hotel. It is simple and very well run with a staff that will go out of their way to do anything they can to help.

Autumn in Schleswig-Holstein is wonderful, better still is finding a warm, welcoming restaurant that serves excellent local delicacies. We have visited this local establishment in Elmshorn, which also has its hotel part. My order was Sander (pike perch) with roasted baby potatoes and seasonal steamed vegetables. Having not tried pike perch before I was unsure but the maitre d swiftly persuaded me in her warn English saying it is what the locals cal "Edel fisch" - noble fish! Noble fish it is and in lovely local companion's words "Meine Güte, das ist sehr Fabelhaft" (My goodness, that is fantastic) are enough to say what I thought of my meal. Needless to say, the service was impeccable matching the quality and cooking of the food. Top marks. One minus is there was no free wi-fi. But hey, that is a small sacrifice worth paying for a wonderful lunch at Drei Kronen at Elmshorn.

The place is just another German restaurant, but the quality of the food is beyond expectation. The polite and friendly staff makes the place one of my favourites while in Hamburg. Been here alone and with colleagues too and left with extreme satisfaction. Will revert soon.

nice old fashioned restaurant which is part of a hotel.even with all the tables being full, the acoustic is good and we do not hear loud conversations.we had the summer ´restaurant month´special pre-fix.gaspacho soup with tuna tartar nice and refreshing.the ravioli is very good. main dish was veal or troutsalmon . both dishes were good. my husband had wine with each course for â¬15,00 extra and found it very adequate.dessert was icecream with hot chocolate cake.service was cordial and presentation good.

We went on a date at the Landdrostei, and had a very nice meal. My first observation was that the design and ambiance of the restaurant is very nice. Despite being in a cellar, the light-colored paint and tasteful deco makes it seem like it's above ground. I tried the scallop carpaccio and my boyfriend the surf & turf sushi for starters, and it was just okay. The scallops were boring and sushi average. Then we had the duck and US-Rumpsteak as our main dish, and everything tasted wonderful. I asked to leave out the potato side with my steak and am glad I did because it would have been too much. The duck was very nice as well. We also chose the special wine that was creatively presented to us when we got there, and it was the perfect choice. Finally, we had the dark chocolate mousse and apple dumplings for dessert, which was also wonderful, albeit very big portions. Overall we were satisfied with minimal critique. For such a lovely menu, I would have expected a rather better plate presentation, but the taste made up for that. Service was also satisfactory, although while we were eating our dessert, it was made clear to us that the place was trying to close (all servers disappeared and the radio came on). We will certainly go back.

Endlich ein Restaurant wo die Gerichte komponiert werden! Eine kleine, feine Karte, wo aber trotzdem auch Jugendliche etwas für ihren Geschmack finden. Dazu ein nettes Ambiente und freundliche Bedienung der Inhaber.
