Our first dinner in Bologna. I've booked it because they offer online booking via TA/Quando. It's busy and lively. Can't fault the food. Everyone there seemed to be enjoying their food and time there. Slightly off putting thing is I have chosen the house wine (~â¬10) and the waiter suggested an alternative that is â¬58.

The food was good, but the place is hot like hell. The owner/waiter told us to have two splits at maximum power. Actually They were not working, I would prefer he to be more honest with us. La ringrazio per il suo commento, anche se avrei preferito un giudizio sul cibo piuttosto che sull'aria condizionata.le ricordo che nel periodo della sua visita la temperatura a bologna era circa 40°c.Anche se accesi (e le assicuro che l'aria condizionata ha funzionato tutta estate ai massimi livelli) gli split non possono fare miracoli con una temperatura così alta. L'aspetto comunque ancora , magari in un periodo più fresco , così che Lei possa concentrarsi maggiormente su quello che mangia.cordialmente Luca Osteria Cannone

We ate here twice during our stay at Savoia regency hotel. Complimentary prosecco almost as soon as we took our seats and a wee amuse bouche. The sea bass was probably the highlight of the food we ordered but everything was very good. Pleasant service both nights. Very happy.

This is a lovely little bistro mostly frequently by locals. It is off a narrow street that is a 15 minute walk from the tourist area that is looks alley like but has a nice atmosphere once inside. My pasta with traditional bolognese meat sauce was delicious as was the broccoli vegetable flan and marscapone dessert. Wine by the glass was only 5 euros. There are only two servers so be prepared to relax and enjoy your meal. Prices are reasonable. My favorite meal so far in Bologna and I have been here over a week so far. Much nicer than the touristy restaurants by the main square. Just go !

This place has a good atmosphere and is a quality restaurant. Menus are available in English. Service is professional and not rushed. There are different dishes in the menu that you would not expect to see in a small establishment. Reasonable price but for a 3-course expect â¬100 to 130/head with wine and cocktails. The starters were excellent and the asparagus flan was a winner, light and flavoursome. The first meals were varied and the tagatelli and ragu was enjoyable but a bit heavy. The selection of main courses were boggling with some unique fish - croaker and amberjack: very unusual taste. The lamb ribs are excellent and Angus steak very thick so likely to be a bit rare if you just order medium. The deserts look amazing and the wine list is excellent. Overall a nice restaurant and it would be more atmospheric if you can secure a table in the main room.

I never realized how important Bologna is on the Italian food scene until I visited there recently. It's the epicenter for many popular pasta dishes, so this place did not disappoint. I had the tortellini in broth (a local specialty) and it was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. My husband had the bolognese which was super tasty. Our waiter was charming and attentive and answered all our questions. He recommended a lovely local wine and then gave us our choice of grappa or limoncello on the house.

If you're in the area you've got to try this taverna. The food is great. Prices are fair. Portions are nice. Huge wine list. Smaller but very good menu. Try the foie gras or wagyu kobe beef appetizer and don't miss the local buffalo as main. Pasta as secondi was wonderful. We tried antipasto, prime and secondi but could manage to eat everything. Desert wasn't fitting anymore but we were more than happy with the food and the service is friendly and efficient. Yes we were the only non Italians too which is a good sign I guess and the restaurant was full...

Just finished our second meal at this restaurant, have only stayed at Bologna for 3 nights. I choose this place by reading other reviews on Trip Advisor. The food is excellent, they have their own recipes for certain dishes that are also their recommendations. I choose a carpaccio with meat and creamy cheese on top, lasagna bolognese and semifreddo. The atmosphere is nice. I recommend to book a table in advance especially for the weekends or be there early
