Almost a year has past, but our little family's memory of dining at Ensama lives on strong! Chef Sabino and his talented team served us one of the finest meals we've ever had - ever - anywhere! Every course was unique and artfully presented, emphasizing the flavor of the fish or seafood and not other accoutrements. We never placed an order, but rather sat back and enjoyed every one of about 8 courses. Chef Sabino is not only talented and gracious, but his background and credentials are extremely impressive. The location of the restaurant seems off the beaten path, but likely within 15 minutes of most anywhere you are in the Bologna area. It's a little informal fruit bar where you may have bowel of fresh fruit with yogurth or flakes on or fruit shakes. You can decide between various fresh fruits and mix them in different manner. Nice service. A good and healthy break in the morning or in the afternoon during this beautiful spring time.

We had our best restaurant experience ever in Italy here last November. From the flat bread pizza appetizers to the dolci and limoncello, everything was perfect. I'm not kidding. Our meals and wine were excellent. Having said all that, I have to say that the service and the whole staff were the absolute best! We were lucky to be seated for dinner, even though we had no reservation, which limited our time to about an hour and a half, before the table was needed for a reservation. That was plenty of time for us. The staff person, Irene, I think, was so accommodating and gracious. We have made 4 trips to Italy in the last few years and this dinner experience was the best. We will return to Bologna and we will eat here again.

Had a fantastic meal here. Horse meat carpaccio with a stellar cheese was my main, and it was GREAT. The menu is divided in classic and modern...both very good. Good wine and a fantastic host/server, who gave us great tips for other restaurants. Definitely going back next in Bologna.

Well, the place is nice but it is not easy to find a parking place. Service is good, fast and clear. However, you may question yourself why dishes are arriving so fast and I found food a bit gross. It was good but nothing special. Would I come back? No and I do not have any reason for this (but I do not have any good reason to come back too!). One thing: I found it expensive. Cheers.
