I never realized how important Bologna is on the Italian food scene until I visited there recently. It's the epicenter for many popular pasta dishes, so this place did not disappoint. I had the tortellini in broth (a local specialty) and it was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. My husband had the bolognese which was super tasty. Our waiter was charming and attentive and answered all our questions. He recommended a lovely local wine and then gave us our choice of grappa or limoncello on the house.

Very nice welcome and after an Italian explanation of the handwritten menu, the cook came from the kitchen to give an English explanation. The food is prepared with a great eye for detail and tastes very good. Little surprises completed the dinner. The place is well decorated and for sure worth a visit.

My family booked a late lunch and it was just perfect. They took care of my wifeâs gluten free needs (coeliac) with ease. The food was great and all locally sourced ingredients. A great find, highly recommend. The staff are attentive and look after you.

excellent meal, brilliant prices for such quality food. Only complaint would be that the surroundings are a bit stuffy and the staff, whilst friendly and efficient, are a bit over zealous. Just finished our second meal at this restaurant, have only stayed at Bologna for 3 nights. We just had to return after our first visitThe husband and wife team who run the restaurant were very welcoming and the food was excellent. Fantastic wine and great service,cannot fault this place. Not much to look at from the outside but full of charm inside. The owner welcomed us in and was passionate in his explanation of all the dishes. Service with a smile, freshly cooked pasta, authentic local food and wine. Pasta dishes â¬9.50-â¬12.50, meat courses a little more. Great value and quality - but get there early as booking is difficult and it fills up fast!

We come here when we want some him different from the usual sandwich or panino and you have plenty of stuffing to choose for your tigella.You can choose among the "standard" combinations proposed by them, or make your own, or slightly modify one of theirs (as I do).My favorite is the Tigella Vegana, but instead of the artichoke cream, the tuna cream (it's kind of a paradox, I know, but I'm not vegan and the things go on so well together!). Had a mixed cheese and meat sharing plate and was amazing in quality, taste and value. The panini and everything else that left the kitchen looked really good too. By far the best place Iâve eaten so far in Bologna in every sense - quality, taste, value, atmosphere and service. Will be back.

I choose this place by reading other reviews on Trip Advisor. The food is excellent, they have their own recipes for certain dishes that are also their recommendations. I choose a carpaccio with meat and creamy cheese on top, lasagna bolognese and semifreddo. The atmosphere is nice. I recommend to book a table in advance especially for the weekends or be there early

Situated opposite our hotel Le Mura is a traditional restaurant offering an interesting menu. Food was mixed as my lasagne was average but my wife had the pork ribs which were delicious.
