This review is based on two separate (breakfast) visits. Table service varied from ok to very slow and the second time the kitchen was also slow (30 minutes for two eggs) despite the fact that the venue was empty. We observed the staff gathering around and chatting while paying no attention to guests (ourselves but also other guests) requiring attention. The eggs we had were not cooked well. The pastries better. No cards accepted despite a bill of over 30 euros.

Had dinner on the outdoor patio. Unfortunately a large group seated nearby spoiled the experience with their loud nonsense and constant, loud laughter. I was surprised to see that the manager joined the group at some point and contributed to the nuisance. The other two guests sitting outside were equally not impressed. Average food, better wine than what is available elsewhere in the village. The service was fast and I was offered a complimentary appetizer. Credit cards accepted. Given the paucity of choice in St. Veit, I would probably go back (and bring earplugs).

Traveling regularly to/through Klagenfurt, we looked for new experiences, and choose 7. Himmel.It was a good choice. All the food was a la minute, with clear concept, distinguishing taste.The fresh fish portfolio is wide and excellent.We will return.

Had a dinner party for 12 people. Amazingly delicious food and good drinks! Started off at 7p.m. and ended at 3a.m. as the owner/chef kept it going for us. It was a real personal treatment for all of us and the dinner turned to dancing and complete enjoyment and celebration of a perfect business year and a motivated lookout for 2018. Next year's party should also be here ;)

Nice restaurant with a good ambiance, especially the outdoor seating area. We tried the grilled calamar that was served on a bed of roquette with polenta cakes. We also had the pasta with crab sticks. We found the food to be good, but could have been better with more adequate seasoning. Overall, the service was fine. food was good and the setting really nice.

Alles in diesem Haus ist besonders, vor allem die vielen kleinen liebevollen Details. Das Essen schmeckte uns jedes Mal richtig gut und unsere Erwartungen wurden wirklich übertroffen. Wir aÃen schon einige Male im "KUNSTHANDWERK". (Von Weihnachtsfeier bis Romantikdinner,â¦)Die Karte ist klein aber fein und die "kunsthandwerklichen Details" schmecken und gefallen uns sehr. Wir kommen wieder, obwohl die Preise schon ein bissl hoch sind!

Uriges Lokal nicht leicht zu finden,hier war einmal die Volksschule.Die Speisekarte ist überschaubar, aber für jeden etwas, dafür mit regionalen Speisen versehen.Hier schmeckt man noch die Speisen, die mit Liebe zubereitet sind.Alles in Allem ein kulinarisches Erlebnis, dass man sehen muss.

This was the second time i visited the restaurant and again the food quality was excellent. The Management couple is super-friendly and professional.For me, this is one of the best restaurants in Carinthia Province, Austria.I look forward to visit them again on my next trip home....

Es ist etwas mühsam zum am Berg hoch über dem Glantal zu kommen. Liebenfles schein ein groÃes Gebiet zu sein und besteht aus mehreren Ortsteilen. Ãber Pulst usw. erreicht man den touristisch etwas verschandelten Bauernhof. So mutet das sich irgendwie an. Das Essen und der Platz selber ist sehr gut. Traditionelle österreichische Küche mundet fein, gut gezapftes Bier dazu und die aussicht bei Schönwetter. Es lohnt sich immer, auch wenn man Kinder hat ein guter Ort der fast ohne Verkehr auskommt. Das Tourismusgefühl welches in Kärnten eigentlich ortsüblich ist, stört den Liebhaber der Natürlichkeit, aber das ist erträglich.

I thought for a while not to post a review and hope that the Wirtshaus Kunsthandwerk will forever remain a hidden secret! But this would be unfair and would not do the owners justice! Let me start with the location: The restaurant is wrongly (by mistake or on purpose ï) listed under Klagenfurt. It is not in Klagenfurt but near the village of Liebenfels, half an hour (some 30km) away from Klagenfurt. But it is well worth driving this extra distance!The owners Hannes und Angelika Magnet both have day jobs and only in the evening they basically open their own home (yes, they live there!) and offer you unparalleled hospitality and spectacular food created by Hannes using only the freshest high quality ingredients. If you for example like to eat fish Hannes will go and catch it for you from their own spring water pond.The place is most romantic â whether you sit outside (as we did since it was a warm summer evening) or inside (which I will do as soon as there is a cooler day). No need to talk about the quality of the food â it meets highest expectations. But be aware that the portions are huge â so if you like to eat two or even three courses ask for half portions. We did not know this and had real trouble to finish everything.The wine list is wisely composed and do ask Angelika for advice â she knows her stuff!And one last point: you need to visit when you have time and like to enjoy a long pleasant evening. This is not a fast food place â this is a âslow foodâ place (and I mean this in a positive way). Since the owners are doing everything (from kitchen to service) on their own you need to be patient â and just enjoy the atmosphere and an extra bottle of wine!
