We were the only two in the Restaurant, another couple had just left when we arrived.The menu has a rather limited choice, but we enjoyed our meals.No real flair shown with the meals, but maybe we were expecting something a little more upmarket.

We visited this place in a group of 10 and were disappointed with the quality of food for the price. It seemed more expensive than it should have been sadly.

Simple food done well can be delightful, but you won't find that here. Unfortunately, this is basic food done very badly. Meals are of a very poor quality and it is a stretch to justify Old Mac's low prices for such awful food. The one saving grace was that the fries which came with my meal tasted good. Otherwise, presentation and quality were substandard. Service was ok. If you are after a delicious and satisfying restaurant meal in Hawera try somewhere else.
