Find out what Ecuadorean restaurants to try in Banos. Normally, one wouldn’t equate "relaxing spa vacation" with "hanging out near an active volcano," but if you’re up for something more exotic than facials and massages, Banos might be the perfect place for you. The thermal mineral pools here are heated by the volcano, and while there are several, offering different amenities, the easiest one to visit is Las Piscinas de la Virgen. Banos also has plenty of outdoor activities, like rafting and biking on scenic paths.

We had the $3.50 almuerzos (lunches): cauliflower/brocolli/potato soup, veggie tortillas with great sauce, and fresh avocado slices. It tasted wonderful and felt so healthy after so many days in Ecuador eating white rice (a lot of it included with every Ecuadorian almuerzo, but not many vegetables included in most almuerzos). Would highly recommend this restaurant to vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. The decor is also very inviting and relaxing!

Leprechaun Pub Restaurante Cafeteria, is the new point gastronomic in Baños, you can find good food, coffee, cocktails, beer and music
Friendly staff. Says opens at 6pm but we went from noon until 3pm on a Tuesday and there were other folk in too. They have 3 beer taps now (from Cherusker brewery of which there is it's own bar across the road) and they normally have bottles but none when we visited. Food was decent - filling and tasty. Music was good. Would come again as looks like could be decent in the evenings.

Nünna means "SPIRIT" in kichwa We love our own, thatâs why we fusion the Ecuadorian with the internacional, the new and the old. Here the party doesnât stop! We apply good cooking practices with organic products from local communities.
We went to this restaurant while visiting Baños, Ecuador. First of all, the place itself, is well designed, with a mixture of contemporary and folkloric decore.Second, the service provided by David Sanchez was outstanding. He had broad knowledge of the menu and was able to explain each dish.Lastly, the chefs Tony Montaña and Gabriel Roman were able to fuse flavors and push boundaries with tastes in every dish.Kudos to the entire team and we highly recommend.Kathy and Gabe from NY

We picked this restaurant out because we really wanted to try cuy (guinea pig) while in Ecuador. The traditional preparation at this restaurant was with a peanut sauce, so I was nervous about dealing with a nut allergy here, but using an allergy card and "sin mani" had no issues at all. They brought out the cuy without the peanut sauce. We also were able to try a half order of cuy, which was less wasteful as I don't know if we'd have finished a whole one.Despite not loving the cuy, the other Ecuadorian foods we ordered were very good - locro de papa soup and yuca with guacamole. We were able to sit outside and overlook the park and some of the main streets of Banos de Agua Santa, which made our lunch even more enjoyable.

Parrilladas Uruguayas was our family's favorite stop during our trip to Banos. The food was simply amazing. It was well prepared and tasted so good. We ordered parrilladas, we all ate well and still had food left over. The owner and his wife were the best part of the experience. They were accommodating and friendly and made us feel like family. I highly recommend this exceptional restaurant especially if you are traveling with your family.

This is inside a famous luxury hotel in Baños. The "campus" is beautiful. Hotel looks high class. The cafe also has the most beautiful vista of Baños.Yet the cafe is really really lousy. Minimalist menu, not many choices. The staff is not capable. They don't even know much about their menu. Food is below standard. Service is slow and low quality. Without the vista, there's nothing worthwhile.
