La Tasca is a quaint restaurant offering great authentic Spanish cuisine and delightful wine. The owner is polyglot with a great personality making the ambiance a very interesting and enjoyable one. We ordered several tapas dishes, all of them were very good, some tastier than others. Anyone seeking authentic Spanish cuisine, La Tasca is a great choice.Thank you for very much for your visit. Another centrally located restaurant where you can enjoy group dining on the second floor. The dining area is surrounded by lots of plants and you canât even tell you are on top of a building. They have authentic park like decors, hammock and decorative plants. They also have a bar where they serve drinks and a lookout to the city. For our food, we had different choices; some ordered beef stroganoff, pasta, drinks, fresh juices and desserts. Considering the last time I was here, they did not handle a large group and our food as a group did not arrive on time, this time, they seemed more organized and we were able to eat together as the food arrived in a timely manner.

This review from a (TOP TA CONTRIBUTOR) is an honest representation of the OVERALL experience. Many of the places I've visited over the last few years in south america have family members involved AND present in their operation. There is NO management or ownership on site here. Therefore no co-ordination of waitstaff and kitchen. Many places will blame a "Gringo language barrier" which would be understandable if my Ecuadorian GF wasn't with me. The food was creative, fresh, and well prepared! Everthing else, especially the ENTIRE waitstaff was below average stands. As noted in other reviews, an unacceptable 2hours late afternoon (half full restaurant)Experience. TRY ANOTHER PLACE !

We dined here and quickly concluded it was probably the best restaurant in town. Romantic, classier vibe than other places in Banos. Generous portions too. Went with the beef fondue which came with multiple sauces and an enormous veggie platter and delicious potatoes. We were so full by the end!

Like atmosphere off of street and food was delicious! Service was a little slow, but we were on vacation and it was Carnival, so no worries.
